Well, he claimed it was apple juice 🙂
BTW, Steve the chap on the left is the CEO of the BoBHS 😉 😉 😉
Geoff.
Steve, you should have changed your signature to ‘Mine’s an apple Juice’, Bob Doe, Shoreham, 2004′ 😉

Perhaps we should have a couple of polls on the date, too near Xmas might not suit everyone (i.e. Xmas shopping or visiting family), and on the regional venues (number & location). Of course the meets don’t need to be all on the same day, which would give some the chance to attend more than one.
Geoff.
The film was called ‘Reunion at Fairborough’ (1985). I remember seeing it many years ago, but can only vaguely recall the aircraft.
Geoff
Geoff, believe it or not, but the lights above the Battle and BE2B were switched on at Hendon this afternoon!
😮 I’m not sure I do. Got a photo to prove it ? 🙂
The more I think about it Brooklands sounds like a good place for a daytime Xmas meet (they’re open 10am to 4pm in the winter), it’s somewhere I’ve often thought of going, I’m sure others are the same, & this would provide a good excuse.
Geoff.
That’s a good idea Merlin70, to have more than one forum meet at various locations around the U.K. & elsewhere. Having just one meet is always going to leave some of us unable to attend.
Somewhere in London, Kent, Surrey, or Sussex would be much easier for me to reach by public transport. How about Brooklands http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/ for a London/South East venue, They can do guided tours for parties of ten or more! or what about Hendon? Obviously I’m thinking about a group of us meeting up, touring the museum, a spot of grub in the museum cafe, rather than an ‘evening’ event which I would be unable to attend.
Geoff
Andy,
I’m interested too, though it depends very much on where the venue is as to if I could attend. Not having transport of my own, it would have to be somewhere I could reach by public transport without too much travelling.

A gentle lift back to the top
You could try here, it’s the discussion group for the Battle of Britain Historical Society http://disc.server.com/Indices/105008.html

Picked up a 1st edition hardback copy of this today for £20. Methinks it may be a bit of a bargain. There are a few sellotape repaired tears on the front cover, but otherwise it’s in very good condition. This means I now have the hardback AND paperback versions.
Geoff.
It is an airplane because it is a plane that goes through the air it doesn’t go through the aero!
It does if you throw a chocolate bar in the air in front of it 😀
