The example at “The Helicoter Museum” is on display in an unrestored condition – almost completly “as found” I would suspect. Whether or not you could purchase it off of them who knows.
How about a replica of the 504 fuselage Autogyros? There are people about who have built/rebuilt such fuselages.

As for Autogyros being rare we have one turn up at VAC events about once a year… Plus Shipdham hold the “Wallis days” every year where a number of Autogyros (and Ken Wallis) Fly-in and you’ll find some at the PFA Rally too.

With regard to “spotters” – you have those that like to stare longinly at what they wish they had, those who jot every concievable number, those who just take pictures those on the extremity of it that actually cause damage be it to property or actual aircraft and those who fill every concievable station between.
I used to take all the numbers – I don’t now. I only do at some of the VAC events as it provides a back up to the booking form and helps trace those who choose not to book in.
I’m happy to watch, photograph and help out. Often I’ve helped empty or refill a hangar. It does me these days…
