Could it also be deemed “boring” as so many air forces use the same equipment – how many times can you sit and watch an F-16 display(?) – there is no variety any more. (Which is a key point as to why I don’t go to big airshows anymore)

Many aircraft just look like the next one.

I was under the impression that the problem with Skeeters was gearbox realated. Probably wrong but…

I saw the programme too – it certainly gave a new aspect to the stories of the trenches we hear about.
I still find it hard to comprehend the numbers of men and the slaughter of a generation. The phrase “total war” used really summed it up.

Thanks chaps – any advance on P38? That is unexpected but not really an area I’ve been into much.
I saw it and thought American but no idea as to what.

    Cheers guys.
I was reading the number from a photo as I’d not noticed it when I looked at the real thing.
I suspected it was generic. It is fitted in a boat that a friend and I are going to restore.

Thanks for that – as its address is Brackley, I would plump for Northamptonshire but who knows………….;)

It is in Buckinghamshire hence the problems a few years back with AVDC and the planning issues…. Greatworth is in Northamptonshire and yet has a Oxon postcode!
Silverstone is half Northants and half Buckinghamshire!

I’d say the DRS 66 is on containers…
    Nice shots there Darren.
(You seen rail tube? [diesel, steam, disused and electric sub areas] You may want to put them on there too…)
