    I knew John when he was on 8AEF at Cosford. Saw him last year when he’d just started on the Squirels. Sadley missed by all.

    looks like it, I only saw it ‘end on’ & noticed its light grey/silver in colour.

    just to let people know, fuselarge was being loaded onto trailers as I left work today! But more interestingly a Mig21 turned up!!

    when i left work on Tues, it had been moved to the car park & some guys were trying to get the engines off!

    all a/c are installed, putting end doors on the hanger today. BAC 111 getting smaller by the day. Been told that a Jaguar is flying in on 1st August for the tech school. Pity as i’m away with the UAS that week!

    Saw a TV crew in a Layby filming as I came home tonight, it looks like Wyton will be reduced but not closed.
    If it does close what will happen to Marshalls/UAS?

    The UAS & AEF squadrons based there are DEFINATELY staying & are to be one of three UAS’s ‘super bases’. Run & looked after by VT Aerospace now.

    I just finished the Corsair book ‘Time Capsule Fighter’ (which is dam good by the way!!), the Vulcan book is next on my list!
