mark, where did that photo come from & is it dated?
it’s selling well, been informed copies are available through main aviation book stockists & the FAA museum. As a present to Dave I made him this. Its the corsair as it would of looked like just before going into the paint-shop! Of note is the ‘camo’ paint on tail. Anyway his book is a recommened buy!!
i worked on victors for 3 years (’82-’85) has to be the one for me!
Many seamew’s where stored at Beechwood Park, near Markyate Herts during the later part of the war. My father use to go and look at them stored in a field. Their was an airfield with small control hut made out of concrete there. Also two or three seamew’s where in the Percival’s hanger at Luton airport, these where in for radio control conversion, but i dont no if this was carried out.
no it was’nt! but I suppose you’ve no way of knowing what serials they were?
thanks Rlangham, info I already have! Theres a query on amount delivered so looking for construction Numbers/ date delivered mainly.
wonder if theres anything on FAA Goose or Widgeon?
think you’ll have to suffer with the cars! car park is MOD property & is used by various people (including myself) for work!
was in work yesterday & noticed the 707 ‘roped’ off, start of the end?
bit expensive! pity its not donated to the FAA museum, its of a unknown pilot & the log book details would be of use, another loss!!
be interesting to see if sales improve once the US Presidential are up ‘n flying!
just goes to show that its earning its keep after all!
excellent! many thanks Rlangham
