Excellent news Nigel,thanks for sharing,they seem to have got her up and running in remarkably short order.I remember seeing her sitting dorment at Farnborough not so long ago and thinking what a shame it was that she was sitting silent.Best bit of news I’ve heard all day. 😎

It was one of the two French ones,I can’t remember the reg off the top of my head.I believe the crash happenned at Binbrook,I’m certain it wasn’t Duxford.
To add to Mark’s list,there is also a B17E in airworthy condition in the US.It’s restoration was completed a couple of years ago although I’m not sure how much flying it’s done since.There was talk at one point of it going to a museum in Israel (!) but I don’t know how much truth there was in that.

IIRC the markings ‘CK-D’ were apllied for an ITV drama called ‘A Perfect Hero’ starring Nigel Havers.I didn’t see any of it (I was only 10 or 11 so was probably tucked up in bed when it was aired),does anyone know if it was any good?
Like the others,I’d put my money on it being Ray or Mark Hanna on the day you saw her Arthur.By the way,did she have RAF or Belgian roundals when you saw her?I seem to remember she wore Belgian markings for a short time whilst retaining the BofB style camouflage and the ‘CK-D’ codes.
