I’ve just watched episode 9, the action scenes still make me flinch, if I have a problem with the series, its a bit disjointed when it jumps from character to character and I find myself caring about them less than I did in say, Band Of Brothers. You forget the link between “Sledge” and the initial Marines who featured earlier (least ways, I did…)
Well worth viewing I still say, but I think they tried to catch lightning in a bottle and fell a little short.
I’ve had problems sleeping more than once after the battle scenes though, not through shock and gore, just the brutal reality of it.

T-3
This is better than its generally given credit for IMHO, it is a 90min chase with some great action scenes, superb Arnie one liners, (I’ll drive.. to the crew of the fire engine for example) and it sets up to “Judgement Day” happening whatever the heroes do. It gets a bit wet at the end when he tries to “over come” his programming, but all in all, far far better than the “Salvation” drivel from last year and well worth 90 mins on the sofa.

a lot of airframes have to be shreaded as part of east west arms limmitation deals , so they can no longer be of use
Does this apply to the “Tonka” ? I thought as a defensive weapon it sits outside of START or SALT or whatever the agreement was ? Besides, they were never much of a threat and I would imagine that the “Bell” design has more chance of keeping station with a Tu-95 during an intercept than a F2 or F3 ever could !
A huge pile of carp that should never have seen service….
White Smoke….
The current Mrs BSG-75 has agreed a buy out, which means that for 2 years at least I can keep the family home (the only home my daughter has ever known, and my son has been in since he was 4) they will both move up into new schools next year, from the (partial) stability of their home, which it will be as they will be with me 50% of the time. Plus it seems (so far) a split on the bits and pieces which is easily sorted, I just need new bed, sofa etc – sorted.
Its still a pain and my son is heart broken, but at least I know that I can do the best for the two of them, by keeping them in their home, and it also makes her buying easier and (hopefully quicker) as there is less of a chain and she is essentially a first time buyer with a huge deposit.
