Northern Weather at Airbase tomorrow

Typical of you lot up there, Brummies or northerners or whatever you are, rain and cloud for Airbase, and I had my shorts all picked out as well for the trek North.

The total number of Mk.8 Meteors in the UK is about ten – and this includes a few which were modded for test purposes (prone-pilot cockpit, air-to-air refuelling, engine testbeds, etc.) so there aren’t many pure Mk.8 fighter Meteors in the UK at all.

Last week-end the Lasham SWWAPS Mk 8 was still sat in the field, I gather its not (yet ?) for sale but its (to the uneducated eye….) in original condition. I agree on the Venom/Vampire comment as well, “under represented” as Bruce said.
