I liked the football ones, Shefield United relegated, ********** Neil Warnock… and the Liverpool one as well.
Like all things, far too many now and they all dilute a bit.

Yeah it was a “one show” thing, it worked OK but it was a filler in a slow spell I think.
Niles and Lilith, that was fantastic, with the room service guy and the ketchup…. “You have egg on your face” etc…. quality, and it lasted better than “Friends”….

Would it have been much use though ?
Forgive my ignorance, but if the F-111 was being purchased would there have been much to gain from testing the TSR-2 ?
Anything learned towards an F-111 replacement would have been out of date by the time the F-111 was due to retire, would it have helped towards Concorde design or engine design?
I understood that the TSR-2 took a lot of cost as many of the systems were unique for that design and couldn’t be offset so I don’t see any immediate benefit in keeping them flying unless it was felt that a future government would reinstate the project (1981 Mrs Thatcher !:diablo:)
Inevitably it jumped the shark (the episode where Daphne and Niles FINALLY get together), but up until then it was always brilliant.
I think it recovered from that quite well as they didn’t make it easy for them, the mistake they made (IMO) was Frasier and Roz, Niles and Roz would have been far far funnier. (remember Niles & Lilith in the hotel room ?)
I have the whole box set and still watch them on Paramount every now and again.

Spent better part of the day reading up on “couples counselling” in readiness for the first trip tonight for my “assessment” with the current Mrs BSG-75.
“Success” rates (success I guess is a subjective description) format of sessions, background, different folk who do it……. fees (that said, ours is covered by work under an “employee support scheme” and the company don’t know we are doing it so we got fast tracked almost like private medical care)
ah well, “open mind” and calm approach…… we will see.

This arrived today, reduced in price already so I’ll have a read and then my son will take on “ownership”…..
Great fun.:D
One other amusing bit of trivia I like is that we always refer to the aircraft as “The TSR2” whereas in fact the term merely applied to the programme. The actual aircraft was the Vickers-Supermarine Type 571, oddly enough, but nobody ever refers to it as that!
Is that what the book is called then Chox ? :diablo:
Interesting snippet though, I never realised that and since I parted with my hard earned to treat myself to one of the Corgi Die-cast I’ve been reading a fair bit on the int-inter-web about the aircraft.
It’s not racist but it is about racism, take the word “prawn” out of the script and replace it with any well known racist phrase and the story remains pretty much the same.

Why does EVERY video clip that claims to be of UFO’s have to be in grainy shaky 8mm or similar with questionable sound?
