I can’t get through on the toll free line

when you dial direct it goes through.

they have a lost article (mig-25) that is being rewritten, home issues that have got in the way, announcment soon on “forums” – aiming at printing early April in the UK for 27, 28 “back in track” soon after.

the guy sounded pretty low, but give him his due he answered the questions and didn’t avoid answering the phone. that said, I can’t see this carrying on and I certainly won’t renew by advance payment.

Venables should ‘have a chance’ says his ex-solicitor

did the BBC miss out the words “yet” and “another” to save licence fee costs ?

every effort was made to “rehabilitate” this boy, as well as educate him and as an adult he has made the choice to break the law (os it is alleged). What else can be done? maybe the solicitor could give him a job, would he employ him in any capacity ? child minder at the solictors creche perhaps?

If it was a “Milestones of Flight” exhibit then surely some airframes taken from Cosford and the Science Museum woud be more appropriate than some of the choices in Milestones.

Bf-109, Mosquito and P-51 are all worthy of display, but “Milestones”? The Me-262 and Harrier I can live with, but a Tempest target tug ?

Its a bit of a “mish-mash” all round and while the timeline display was of interest to my son and I, we looked at most of the aircraft out of interest only and not as “Milestones” as such.

Not sure there TwinOtter23 ? , if you mean in choice, quality etc its been a great year so far for collectors. I’ve got the TSR-2, an F-84, a fantastic Skyraider and a nice “clipped” wing FAA Corsair.

The Daily Mail (so it must be true then….:diablo:) website has a piece about the allegations, the child pornography theme is very strong there, as is a mention of drink and drug abuse.

It is nice isn’t it ?! I got mine a while back and now its in a cabinet with an SR-71 and a F-105 die-cast, you forget how big the thing actually was !

A bit hit and miss. I dislike films where you have to strain to hear the dialogue, add J Edgar Hoover with an odd English accent, Christian Bale with a southern accent, Johnny Depp with a Johnny Depp accent and its all a bit of a muddle.

2 out of 5 I’d say.

If he does go to trial for the alleged offences, could he get a fair trial ? I’ve done jury service (petty assault and drugs possession) and two guilty (from what I could see) guys walked free because the “reasonable doubt” was there, or lack of 100% evidence. Could anybody on this forum, put their hand on their heart and say that they could sit in a jury room to talk about whatever he is tried for without referring back to his previous crimes?

I couldn’t and couldn’t even say he deserved a trial at all.

Thats a real shame and loss to the IWM in my view, I was looking forward to seeing her restored.

Then again, she will be in a museum, on display somewhere and not lost, but it’s a lovely looking beast of an aircraft and the IWM’s loss is somebody elses gain! 🙁
