maybe now we can have a “talk show” with a presenter who has the stones to ask a real question like “So, did you write the book/play/film script to tell an important story etc” rather than “I love your book/play/film its brilliant” or to cruel, “I wuv your book/play/film its bwilliant”

What a wabble the BBC can be…

You do that, and all the terrorists, extremists and those planning the protests have won, and the war in Afghanistan – and all the British casualties of that conflict – is rendered pointless.

    Spot On ! Exactly right.

There are a bunch of good guys who do just that. They are Muslims (proud to be British) called muslims4uk, they counter protest the bad guys (Islam4uk) leaving us mortals to protest the important things (like bring back Andy Saunders campaign, etc)

I’ll go and google them and have a read, must confess I’d not heard of them ! Is that me or a lack of press coverage?

I think they should ban that Saunders bloke again anyway, its just been so dull since he came back don’t you think (Mr Bus & photoshop? :D) ?

Regretably, we live in a (reasonably) free society which leaves us open to this, however, I am certain that if (for example) us forum members marched in protest against the beliefs of the people planning this protest, we’d be arrested PDQ – that is where I start to get “concerned”, or angry?

    Avatar again today

I’m still not convinced, I’d say again to anybody who is going to see it try and get into an “Apollo Cinema”, they have the latest and greatest projectors and having been to a “Vue” today, you can see the difference in image quality.

As for the movie, I have a habit of my mind wondering if I’m not totally engaged with it, and picking plot holes, like why are they “hit and miss” with the oxygen masks? Sometimes they do, sometimes not, its OK but having sat through a few “blockbusters” this year (Terminator, Transformers, Star Trek and now this) – IMPO, Star Trek was (as entertainment) by far the best.

What no-one spotted was that Bristol’s tech drawing department had simply drawn a Beaufighter fuselage onto Beaufort wings – simply as an expediency when doing the original proposal.

Thats interesting, I collect a lot of die-cast models and spend a fair bit of time now on a collectors forum, some of the debate there on everything from colours to wing and spinner shape is incredible. A recent Beaufighter release from Hobby Master has attracted a lot of negative views over everything from the undercart (a bad error IMPO) to the colour of the engine cowling rings (who cares !? IMPO !).

Well yes, it was crap (if nicely shot crap)…

My own personal view is that Tarenteno films are more style than substance, I’ve never enjoyed them and this was no different.

Off to see “Avatar” again today (my son wanted to see it) so it will be interesting to see if my view on that changes second time around.
