Thank you for these, every time I see a thread that says “old photos” I know that there are some gems.
How do you guys spot this crap?
I just checked the disc after reading Baz’s post, and saw the R2-D2 thing reading a review of the blu-ray release.
and yes, I took the time to go and check, couldn’t find R2 though.

Did you spot the Sea Vixen overflying Vulcan (the planet:rolleyes:) near the beginning?
good film:)
14 mins 35 Seconds, just tried to grab a frame but I couldn’t – I have the Blu-ray that came with a digital copy for PC, but I can’t grab a frame to post.
It did look like it though, R2-D2 is floating around in space somewhere as well in a field of wreckage.
Top quality film though,

I’m not a huge Star Trek fan, but I was tempted to buy that on DVD today…
In all honesty, I don’t think you need to be a Treker to like this, its fun, very fast paced, the character acting is very well done (maybe with the exception of Simon Pegg as Scottie) the plot is utter escapist nonsence and the effects are used to tell the story, not take over your life as they do with George Lucus films.
Then again the last time I pitched you a movie it was “Blade Runner” which didn’t make your top 10 so maybe you should ask a few others what they think ! :diablo:

I like to think that if I were to live in a predominantly Muslim country then I would abide by the law of that land, or the law of any land where I chose to reside.
I wouldn’t (for example) insist of manufacturing alcohol and having for sale, I would dress according to local law and custom. I wouldn’t live in the USA and demand UK holiday entitlement (US workers IIRC have around 2 weeks, I have 5 now). I would not live in Germany and push to change the beer brewing laws to allow me to make some nasty chemical based fizzy beer.
Nor would I claim that my religion was a race, if you state that religion is a race, then surely Sammy Davies Jnr and Golda Meir are of the same race
