    :confused::rolleyes:

    That Buchon isn’t in Spanish colours:diablo: ?

    Odd though, can’t see the image or book on the Osprey site but Amazon especially do show different covers (the recent Skyraider, P-36 and F4U Korean books for example) – maybe they do some artwork to show something other than a “TBC”?

    While I don’t share your enthusiasm for the sport, I wouldn’t be too concerned. The Premier League (Football, which is my sport) was initially formed by all “Division one” clubs breaking away and the FA etc followed PQD as that was where the money was clearly going to be.

    Nobody will kill the goose that lays several thousand golden eggs – the TV rights (I would imagine) were sold on the basis of all teams competing and if the have to make up the numbers with Skoda go-karts etc then they will be refunding the BBC big time!

    The FIA (is that what its called?) won’t risk a multi-million pound business like that, the same way the FA wouldn’t and eventually will follow a European football league for the money – oh, they already did !

    actually it was yesterday but close enough…

    “Mrs Irene Graham of Thorpe Avenue, Boscombe, delighted the audience with her reminiscence of the German prisoner of war who was sent each week to do her garden. He was repatriated at the end of 1945, she recalled. “He’d always seemed a nice friendly chap, but when the crocuses came up in the middle of our lawn in February 1946, they spelt out Heil Hitler”. (Bournemouth Evening Echo”

    Grrrrr,

    Does anyone else know this site or have pics of the two Lincolns in Argentina, I assume both are listed in the new Flypast article?

    regards

    Mark P

    There is an excellent piece in a recent “International Air Power Review” (which is as rare as the Cosford ghost these days!:eek:) which outlines service of the Lincoln and Lancaster in Argentina, including testing their own “dambusting” operations, use in the civil war etc. Its a great read with some useful pictures as well.

    is it me or does that herc lack much in the way of markings?

    Rendition conspiracy ! – it does look a tad bland but I like the departure shot especially.

    Fathers Day Sunday

    Time to drop some piano sized hints to the Mrs….

    Then again a few years ago (we work at the same company) I told my staff during appraisals that they would get higher ratings if they called my wife and told her that I wanted a DVD player for Xmas and they happened to sell them in the staff shop. 6 of them did it, she bought me a coffee maker…….

    should have added that to Daz’s “women” thread the other day !!:eek:
