I’m pretty sure that that happens in the George Formby film “Its in the Air”-he has an accident involving a Fury (or similar) and goes flying by mistake!

B-36s didn’t have AAR (air refuelling capability) and had plenty of range anyway, especially with a light load. .

Wasn’t the original design spec based around reaching mainland Europe from the USA if a German invasion had taken place in the UK? That would be before AAR refuelling became common place.

BT Tech support is shocking…..

My broadband line was out of service, they wanted me to hump the PC around the house and plug it into every phone socket. I suggested that I just use the router:eek:…. then they told me to unscrew a socket from the wall as there was a “special test” socket behind it. “Its not there” – “yes it is being there sir”. “No its not” etc etc.

the speeds depend on where you are from the exchange and the quality of cable, in my town 60% of the houses are “too far” from the exchange so what bandwidth there is can be used up quickly, school homework times etc. Check if you are in a good “hot spot” or a “not spot” before you sign up.

a complete **** at work who upon using a cubicle in the gents, managed to miss and left it on the floor for all to see, slip on or whatever.

With “four burning and six turning” its got to be an impressive sight and sound, the static example in the US has to be worth a visit.

The original series now sits on the Sci-Fi channel, with the remastered copies showing on Sci-Fi HD. Its 4:3 aspect on the HD channel but tends to be on every day IIRC.

DS-9, TNG, Voyager and Enterprise all now on Virgin TV which you get on freeview (you may need to retune the box as its only been there since mid May)

The movies were being cycled on Sky movies at the time of release of the new film.

dreadful, truely dreadful sequel (as they often are) and two hours (and £35 for family of 4 ticket) that I want back !
