In my opinion, Pixar’s best movie. (Nemo)
A worthy winner of the 2003 Academy Award for Best Animated Film.
Daz rating: :D:D:D:D:D
Oh no no no sir, kindly step outside and settle this like a gentlemen, I demand satisfaction sir, name your second and choose your weapon….
“The Incredibles” is Pixar’s finest movie, and “The Iron Giant” probably the directors best movie at a pinch…… Brad Bird(?)

Wrapped up at home on a one week sick note from my GP – lovely lady, so today was a chance to see “Insomnia” – Robin Williams and Al Pacino, watched it because it was directed by Christopher Nolan, Batman, Momento, The Prestige all mentioned above.
Not bad, Pacino didn’t get his long rant as in usual movies, and slowly unwinds in the land of the midnight sun, day light 27 x 7 in Alaska, worth an afternoon flaked out on the sofa.

We will be happy indeed when we can banish that awful yellow colour for something more appropriate.
Bruce
Can I ask what the plan is Bruce? Is it a eventual strip back and re-paint to an authentic yellow or a “KD431” style “strip back and see?” or something else?
I love that prototype – I still can’t believe its still there and wasn’t just towed away and buried, burned, turned into wardrobes etc.
would it deter a shepherding fighter?
looking at the classic shots of F-4’s, F-15’s, Lightnings etc with Tu-95’s and others – they are often forward of the “3 – 9 line”. If a Nimrod was being escorted, would a Sidewinder have any effect on where the escort would place itself?
“Any more talk like that Mr Grafton and I’ll have you keel hauled. And thats serious on an aircraft carrier”
Or
“is that normal?”
what the feet”
“yes, the feet”
“yes”
“can you do something about it?”
“what do you want me to do? kill him again?”

Flight Of The Intruder
some dreadful parts in the script, some funny, OK models, great flying sequences (the Skyraiders at the end, the A-6 tail chase near the start) and worth the few quid I paid.
One of the good things about the Blu-ray growth, DVD’s are cheaper and cheaper.
but can anybody explain why the DVD menu page has an F-14 on it ? even I didn’t like that…..

Does anyone know if this was a ‘novelisation’ of the TV series or whether it bore more relation to the original scripts? It was written by Greatorex, so I suspect the latter…
IIRC it was a novel taken from the scripts, there was another “Ruskins Berlin” which I think was planned for the second series and how our man Jack started to make his fortune in the Berlin airlift.
Thanks BSG, I managed to get a copy of this one back in Sep. from that well known auction site!
nice artwork and quite accurate to in that one – some were daft to look at now, I have a vivid memory of a comic where a JU-52 was fitted with cannon from a crashed Stuka in Russia and used to whip around battlefields taking out the “Ivan” tanks. “Himmel, one more to us!”
Nice thread!
PS Does anyone know of any others?
My son has one of the earlier ones, “all guns blazing” it has a story “fire over england” about a Whirlwind squadron who face rocket firing U-boats that attack the chain home stations.
and when I say my son has it, its mine I just keep it in his room to keep Mrs BSG happy….
