P-51 over the M-25 this morning close to Junc 23 or 24, I think it was “Big Beautiful Doll” but couldn’t be sure what with the need to keep an eye on the car in front and all  but a lovely sight none the less.

I can’t speak for all clubs, but at my team (Tottenham) each shirt worn on the day by players and subs are put to auction so fans can bid for them and all proceeds go to the RBL (at least they have in previous years)

As for Jon Snow again, I respect him for what he says totally.

The players had poppies on the shirts today, and they were advising that there is an auction via the club website from Monday for them, all proceeds to the RBL. Given a report last week that a player was earning “only £30,000” a week, its the least football can do I should think.

The shameful thing was the silence that was to have followed the last post went badly wrong. The stadium announcer stated it was to take place quite clearly, but just as the last post finished, a person in the crown shouted a very loud term of support for the team, the ref blew the whistle and it situation normal to start the match so no silence at all which was at best “unfortunate”

    well said bgnewf

It’s a joke, or a scam depending on your point of view, either way a fairly grim piece of business.

well you know Ben, the wife goes and you ask all sorts of questions but while I thank you for your kind offer and interest in me, I’m out of your league mate……

anyway it was 1/2 price in Sainsburys, I grabbed a bottle to put up to give somebody at Xmas, bought the wrong one so thought I would try it. Its not like it had umbrellas and a cherry in it……

I have Chinook tyre marks on my roof….

I live just off Junction 7 of the M-3, right on the flight line from Salisbury Plain to Odiham. We get the odd Puma and Merlin these days as well, but Chinooks every day and sometimes VERY low.

We get some Middle Wallop activity as well (AH-64’s now) and sometimes a Boscombe Down visitor. The SBAC show makes life interesting as well as we sometimes seem to sit under a holding pattern.

I think it is worth investigating and would find a home at Brooklands for certain ?

Lasham did have some gems in the display area, I’ve not seen mention of anything else that has been put on display from them on here. There was a fair bit of Dan Air kit from the old facility at Lasham plus other bits and pieces.

    WEAR YOUR POPPY WITH PRIDE
Nice to see some premiership football teams with poppys on the team shirts this weekend.
Hope they all made donations to RBL.
    Cheers
