You’ve not seen The Road then, Kabir? 😎

I read the book last year and then saw the movie, heavy going and very intense but I rated it, the relationship between the father and son was heart breaking.

I think Jon Snow had a valid point if it is assumed that he is required to wear a poppy then it could be inferred that people wear them for the wrong reasons (because everyone else is) and don’t fully appreciate or understand the symbolism or meaning behind the poppy.

However don’t forget this article is from 2006 and I don’t know what he is doing this year.

I agree, he has the right to choose. Personally, I always buy a few as they get lost and pin them to the childrens school coats as well and they know why they have them. I wear them up until Remembrance Sunday, and get my first one any time leading up to it.

I was pondering today posting a question about what what one puts in the “pot” today for a Poppy, but again that is totally down to freedom of choice. I would like a wristband instead (harder to loose) but the Poppy is iconic as it is I think, the only thing I would change is to have a safety pin with it !

    The Book Of Eli

not bad, nice suprise ending, not as smart as it thinks it is but worth an evening flopped on the sofa IMHO.

My lad just called me from his mums, upset about something, I couldn’t hear him as she was moaning at him for calling me, and I’m trying to say thanks for calling, great to hear from you but you need to listen to what your mum says as you are with her at the moment.

Probably in trouble for something and wanted to check with the “other one” but it breaks my heart to hear him like that.:(

    Bonus…

5% of annual salary to be paid next month, it’s a bit crass I admit, but best bit of news I had in an age, especially as the current Mrs BSG-75 doesn’t get a bit of it…..:D

Hanging’s too good for ’em! 😡

Thanks for that valuable input GA, now I would like to take your anger and focus that onto a vertical plain so that we may accomodate your energy in a more constructive and productive manner. I see that anger more as an evangelical projection of your intent vertically, to meet with your passion horizontally to form a patriarchal cross if you will, of your strengths so that we may use that as a foundation from which to project forth and strive to meet those targets with less of a substrate foundation and more of a rawboned, actionable structure.

    I should do this for a living…..:D

Buzzwords like that make you want to give someone a good slapping….

You’re not quite a team player are you Daz?

You need to imagineer the concept by which we grasp the ideals to which we strive and endevour to achieve those goals that should exceed not only your grasp but your reach.:D
