Is that the excuse that the parents would have used if someone was injured (or worse) in the SAR mission.
I’m sorry but that is just rediculous, brought up on water or not, this shows a hude unresponsibility by the parents.

I agree – I’m not sure the ex-servicemen is a comparison, they are trained, disciplined and assessed carefully, and while this girl may have been on boats all of her life, that doesn’t bypass the growing up process and a 16 year old shouldn’t be at sea alone.

That said, I am of course glad she is safe and well and think the parents should get a large bill for aviation fuel etc!

Back to some rules on advertising again – its a fine line, and is often difficult to police…

Just as a general personal comment, as a forum member who learns far far more from others than I contribute, I think its great when we see fellow forumites “in print” and I wish Chox and Skyraider3D every success with this and future works. 😀

I’m with you on that, she looked stunning in the first two series, but not so good in the last one, unsure why:confused:

But surely A2A is a sort of remake of the Sweeney, with Gene Hunt kind of parodying Jack Regan, in spirit at least?

I think he does take a lot from Jack Regan, I find that The Sweeney still stands up for viewing now, it’s almost a costume drama, while it’s replacement “The Professionals” looks dreadful, and very low budget.

As for Gene Hunt, some of the non PC phrases, especially in Life On Mars will make me laugh for years. “First date, upstairs outdoors only….” cracks me up as well as some that are maybe best not posted :diablo:

    Bloody GMTV this morning.

They were banging on about Cheryl Cole stepping out for the first time since she announced her divorce from Ashley Cole, and all these celebrity muppets coming out in her defence.

This made me want to swear because:

    1) I find her irritating as feck.

    2) Everyone seems to have forgotten that she was accused of racially aggravated assault a few years ago!

Obviously! I mean, flash some cleavage and put up with Simon Cowell, and everyone will bow down and kiss your ass! 😡

I hate this inane GMTV style of award, its just so shallow and meaningless, woman of the year my eye, OK, hubby did the dirty, thats harsh, but what hardship has she gone through compared with millions of others ? 😡 GRRRRRRRRRRR

What made me smile today..a story on the news about a 2 month old baby who had a heart attack..after surgery by some wonderful dedicated surgeons ..she is doing just fine with a bright future ahead of her

    That is truely inspirational.

I’ll settle for t-shirt and shorts weather, last few years have been a bit below par!

Legends is my favourite show, in fact the only one I go to every year, I’m looking forward to it.

am I being a very dumb user, but I can’t see any CAA updates on the TFC website ?
