Does Avspecs have any more Mosquitos in the pipeline after this one?

They’re practically stampin’ ’em out like bottle caps!
Great to see such amazing progress.
Thanks for posting the link.

If you Google “FW-189 restoration” there are some images posted on a modelers site.
The post is from 2011 which I think pre-dates Vulcan Warbirds acquiring it (and also the Me-110).
It will be quite something to see this unique survivor emerge from the wood work eventually.
Here’s a link. Just scroll down a bit to the images.

I’ve heard from more than one pilot, that with the canopy open, they truly live up to their name “Hurricane”
It’s only original once!

Still, pretty sweet find!
Thanks for posting all the great pics.
I’d be quite interested to hear if the Fury handles differently, with the prop spinning opposite to it’s normal direction of rotation.
Great to see it airborne again.
Just ignore all the moaners. I certainly try to, but bl00dy h$ll it gets annoying!

I’m always relieved to hear that injuries to persons were not life threatening.
Here’s wishing for a speedy recovery for the pilot.

Thanks for posting.
Nice photos.
I have to wonder. Does it fly as good as it looks?!? :highly_amused:
Kidding aside, it’s amazing that it has survived and even more so that it is going to be airworthy again. Really interesting.

Repeat please…….
Great article Dave!
I was fortunate enough to get a great view of this Lysander, as I was approaching a fly in, in my Tiger Moth.
Dave heard me call on the radio and asked if he could form up on me. Uh…. …..yeah!!!
I held my speed and altitude and Dave appeared from below off my right wing. A great example of converting speed in to altitude.
We just did the one pass then broke off for our respective landings. So impressive to see that beauty off my wing.

These books are hard to get now.
I have Vol 1, but I waited too long, and missed out on Vol 2.

It could be restored to airworthy.
The truth, however, is that virtually all of the sheet metal would have to be replaced.
There would not be much left of, what is an historical artifact. Items can only be original once.
That being said, the standards to which some aircraft are being restored, have progressively risen to very impressive levels of originality.
Oh yeah, one would also require a great big steaming heapload of money, so there’s that.;)

I don’t have any first hand knowledge, though I understand it is progressing.
Ray Middleton does not allow photography in his shop, so I’ve not seen any images either.
A “Mr. XII” who frequents this forum likely knows a bit more 😎
