Is that Mig-25 pic real?
Wow….seriously strong aircraft.
Umm, i believe that’s just a PS.:)
Pitty this project didn’t continued (the Mukhamedov designed/inspired one- Shafaq it’s called ?). It would have been a quite lovely little areoplane.
“Oh it’s a huge 23 meters long, 70,000lb behemont bomber/striker !!!11!! Oh it’s a MiG-31 style interceptor, fast , but not much else, it’s underpowered and un-maneouverable!!!!111!!!”
I wonder if those who keep to the above nonsense will retract their words, ESPECIALLY the so called western press “experts”.( why on earth are they get the huge amount of money they obviously get for the rubbish they come out with?)
On another theme, obviously i’m no expert, but J-20 seems to be quite light on it’s feet, is it ?
As someone said with another occasion, fuzzy feeling etc. etc. 🙂

Aparently from the latest flight (s?)
Maybe they are gold plated…:D
They selected another engine than Izd.117? Would be quite interesting to see which engine it is …especially if it’s an existing engine ( maybe some Saturn AL-31FM3 type ?), or is it a planned one ( izd.127 or 129 or 30 or whatever it’s called)
On another subject, i see Flateric poted on paralay.com that T-50-2 resumed flights ( presumably today ?)…
what do you think of this?
Perhaps the person who made that, ummm…professional comparison should start by learning to spell “comparison” …
Perhaps you wish to tell us why his hatred and bias? Why? (i’m interested actually)
Regardless, still i think B.Sweetman has quite some solid background behind him, afterall he wrote dozens of aviation themed books for decades ( which probably can’t be said of that Thompson guy, or some F-35 fanboys who enjoy bashing him for daring to criticise their bestest and goodest fighter-jet)
Also, who pays Sweetman? (to be negativitistic and biased against F-35, as sugested above)
Ummm…he said a company owned Su-30MKI…;) (nothing to do with India)
Well, from what i can read around this ” Lexington Institute ” has little to no credibility really (aparently it’s a LM mouthpiece) so … believe what you wish.
Aparently this Lexington institute is for some impartial audience and F-35 critics, what Carlo Koop& associates are for the F-35 fanboys. 🙂
Its not really that important of matter, fellas, the documents should be open for discussion in another eighteen years.
Maybe it is, maybe it’s not. Me at least i’m wondering what else uncle sam does not want to talk about, lies about , or keeps quiet about. 🙂 ( not just F-117, but GW1, GW2 etc. etc. )
Yes. Five documents were retrieved on the search, but all are still classified.
TJ
Thanks TJ.
Sorry if i missed an earlier post , but you asked them about that second combat damaged F-117( as per USAF website ) serial number, right ?
Thanks.
Oh please. If your definition of an S-duct is any inlet duct that isn’t a straight line, then the point of this discussion is moot. By that logic, F-15 and F-16 both have S-ducts…
When we say S-duct, we specifically mean inlet ducts specifically shaped in a way to minimise radar return from the engine compressor face. We mean the ones seen in B-2, F-22, F-35, the ones that are designed for stealth even at the expense of lower pressure recovery.
The inlet duct on the 1.44 is not an S-duct. Is it straight? No. But it’s not an S-duct.
Sorry ? F-35 has an “S-duck”? No it doesn’t, it’s just a single engine aircraft , with side intakes. That’s not one of these bloody “S-ducks” everyone is mental about either.;)
Russian air force lifeline for near-dead MiG-35
Just when the Russian MiG-35 fighter was being pronounced ‘dead and finished’, after its ouster from the Indian Air Force’s around 12 billion dollar MMRCA (medium multi role combat aircraft) deal for 126 aircraft, there’s a saviour in sight for the jet, as the Russian ministry of defence has included it in its procurement programme for the Russian Air Force.
More than 70 jets are being planned for the RuAF.
Wow, is that true? 😮 70 MiG-35 for RuAF? Can this be confirmed?
( IF this is true, it might explain why 961 and 967 “demonstrators” dissapeared from view for over a year now -they might be completing State acceptance trials in Akhtyubinsk, imho.)
Umm, yeah the never ending story of the F-35’s price.
Imagine if you go in a car shop and want to buy a car, and you ask
“How much is that car” ? “
” $9999!”
” Hmm, good price “
” Perhaps i should tell you that’s the price without engine, wheels and steering…”
“ ”
Ridiculous isn’t it ?
Also, don’t want to pick on anyone or anything, far from me , but after seeing a quite perplexing post on another forum, Spudman WP if you don’t mind , how on earth do you know the recation time of F-35s EODAS , plus the COMPETITOR’s ( i can’t remember if it was PAK-FA or not ) aswell(?!), to say that the F-35’s one is ” many times faster “? No offence, just being quite puzzled after reading that. Thanks.:)
Anyway this whole F-35 story is quite an entertaining soap opera.
