Ah, finally! Good job Sukhoi and LII chaps. So it’s bort 52, not 53 as rumoured few months ago . Also interesting that 052 number on the fins , would that be specifically for MAKS?
Hopefully we’ll see inflight pics of 52 too.:)
bingo…today’s training was something extraordinary
Was it ? Can you tell us more please? Thanks.
Hmmm…Su-35S falling behind schedule ? Did Zelin really said those things ? (about Su-35’s systems vs it’s amerikanski counterparts )
Atm T-50-2 has only 4 or 5 flights made , and hasn’t flown from LII yet since moved, so the rest of them ( close to seventy-it flew i think few times more after that 14th june news and before being taken into workshop for modification ) were made by T-50-1.
So let me get this straight..
The T-50-01 has what, some 40-50 test flights so far and is allready entering Spin recovering proceedures..
I think it’s closer to 70.:)
Some news quoting that figure ( as of mid june, btw), i know there’s a specific bit of news quoting that figure for about mid june on Sukhoi.org, i’ll look for it and post the link, if need be.
That’s one neat spin-chute installation there.:) I was kinda expecting something like that F-22 type frame thing , and was wondering if ( hopefully ) it will perform at MAKS with that thing hanging on it’s back . But i got my answer now .:)
Ooops…aparently all F-35s grounded again …IPP failure on AF-4.
http://www.f35.com/news-events/
Wasn’t AF-4 the same one involved in the earlier auxiliary power pack failure?
PS: Earlier failure news ( march 9th)
Two PAK-FA to be presented in flight at MAKS 2011? 😮
http://vz.ru/news/2011/8/1/511672.html
Didn’t know that Chinese Su-27UBKs were wired for R-77. That means there must have been some radar updates, right?
Ummm…aren’t those Su-30MKKs?
PS: I stand corrected , i see the RWR antenna on the intake side now.
Well Deino believes it’s most likely 1034 in this picture earlier this year …
http://www.sinodefenceforum.com/air-force/new-j-10-thread-iii-117-4290.html#post146838
Now , if our chinese friends would agree to release that picture without the bort number on the tail being censored, well, we’d know for sure if that’s 1034 or not. 😉
If what i’m reading on the chinese orintated forums is correct , then J-20 2002 should be a static airframe, while the next flying airframe should be 2003, at end of 2011 or begining 2012? ( think it was mentioned 2003 might even have the radar , the chinese EODAS type system and even new engines- i hope i’m not mixing things up )
Thanks.:)
J20 with J10B, actually the J20 is not that big
Of course not, it’s not the 80,000lb F-111 class behemont bomber (OMG to bomb Taiwan and Japan and the american carriers bwahahahhaha!!!) that some completely out of reality ( and lacking basic observation skills!) western writers and even some members here believe.
Juts to check for myself , if it’s ok ,there are now at least four J-10Bs identified right ? We got the first one 01/1031( prototype), we got 03, then 1034, and finally now the WS-10 equiped 05/1035, is this correct ?
Plus we also have the ESA radar airframe seen few months ago , not sure if that’s just a test bed or a flying airframe.
Judging by what is rumoured to be chinese practice , J-10B 02 should be the static then, right ?
Thanks.:)
if some one orders a MiG-35 at MAKS, I’ll punch a puppy and kick a kitten, just for you!!!
What’s the matter, affraid to pick someone your own size?
I know i keep asking, BUT …where are the two MiG-35 demonstrators atm ? Haven’t seen anything about then in, well, very long time.
IMHO i see two possibilities …either they’re languishing somewhere on an airfield or hangar maybe OKB’s… in which case maybe Hotdog is right. But not a pic or piece of information nothing anywhere ?
OR… they are in Akhtyubinsk doing serious testing ( weapons and electronics ) in which case the programe is not so dead.;) Since it seems not a single soul (read spotters etc ) can get even close to Akhtyubinsk without permission, maybe their absence is in a way sort of good news for the programme?
You should save those remarks for after MAKS 2011. You never know. 😉
Really looking forward to (as a “fanboy” :D), but of course whenever it’s ready and safe for it to fly, that’s when it should fly. Fanboys can wait.:)
Speaking of which, did “51” flew lately ? ( i meen last 2-3 weeks ?). Thanks.
Yeah , i guess i have to go with Fedaykin here …even if PAK-FA would come on top in regards to the technical/performance parameters (which imho it probably would ) and even technology transfer, you wouldn’t think the “american interests” in that country would allow that to happen, is it ?
