Flateric posted few pages back here ( need to find that post again ) that T-50-2 is at the Ramenskoye Avionics Bureau ( sp ? ) to have installed some new avionics items, presumably having to do with the OEIS system, or something else ?

PS : Hmm i can’t seem to find it here , maybe it wasn’t Flateric ,but i’m sure i’ve read somewhere about ” being at Ramenskoye Avionics- whatever- it’s- called company to have some avionics fitted “. Maybe it was a translation from paralay …

    Sorry if i’m talking nonsense.

On paralay’s site i think it is mentioned that the Mikoyan submition for the PAK-FA tender ( rejected), aparently while still canard ( like 1.44/1.42), had adopted side mounted intakes aswell , all the armament internal etc etc ( aparently the 1.42 was suposed to have both a bay and semiconformal AAM carriage- F-15 like, for instance.)
So who knows what is the real extent of Mikoyan-Chengdu cooperation.

Has there been an announced delay for production of the T-50? I won’t post the link as it is in Russian, but on another site there is a link that the OP claims makes mention of the T-50 serial production being put off until 2019-2020! Anyone know of any truth to this? If so why?
Does this mean I will have to wait until 2021-2022 before I see an operational T-50/”Su-50″ squadron…crying out loud!!! 🙁

I think that’s the same misinterpreted statement by Shugaev( sp?) when he was talking about serial production beggining in 8 years …aparently he was talking of PMI, not PAK-FA ( PMI is the indian FGFA). Look at the date ( during Paris Air Show). It’s been discussed here few pages back.

Ah! Got it , here’s that MiG-35 model at Aero India this year …if you look under the right wing ,on the innermost hardpoint you’ll see something that looks like a MSP-418 jamming pod( right ? ), and something hanged under it ! (i cant make out what that weapon is …)

Is this the one you’re talking about?

Yep , that’s the one. Indeed, quite striking cammo. (if you can call that cammo lol!)

Well, to stick my nose in again here , imo maybe one of the reason LM has such a poor performance in this programme is this …they have little, and even lost, the “knowledge ” to built a front line aircraft in substantial numbers , on time , on budget , and on specified performance (especially important in these times)

In fact, looking at their past, other than F-80/F-94 and some F-104 (the bulk being built in Europe-and that aircraft having debatable performance anyway), what else have they built in numbers recently ? They havent had anything built 3rd and fourth gen wise. They’re very good at building high performance /high inovation limited series aircraft like SR-71, F-117 and whatever else they were working since ( classified), but other that that , what else ? They coped with some second line types like C-130, P-3 , S-3 or whatever, but other that that , they don’t seem to have any recent experience in building something like F-16 /F-18 etc. ( no, it’s not THEIRS the F-16, it’s GD’s ).

    Anyway just a thought.

BTW i had no idea F-35 had canopy issues that limited it’s speed since recently…

So um… how do you know that J-20’s bay matches EXACTLY the one from the Raptor ? Can’t it be longer, wider, shorter or thinner ?

And this comparison being …in regard to the J-20 being 23m long ?
