Geez , here we go again about that god damn F-35 in the PAK-FA thread.
My personal opinion about this is let the yanks shoot themselves in the foot, politicians arguing about how much this thing costs and sticking their noses into the programme, grabbing LM by the collar for their absymal performance ( costs, timeframe, even dubious airframe performance ), hell cancel the F-35B, reduce the orders what do i care.
All this is a little bit more time and another oportunity for the russians and the chinese to do their work quietly and efficiently and reduce the technological disadvantage.
If PAK-FA’s developement is successfully completed and it’s serial production launched (same for J-20), maybe the russians would consider their 6th gen in the 2025-2030 time frame, pretty close behind the NGAD or FA-XX or whatever it’s called.
So there .:diablo:
Looks great.
So indeed.:p
But where’s 53?:( Off course i realize the full seriousness of extensive ground tests and re-tests to minimize any unecessary risks, it will fly when it is ready to fly no prob, but only a little peak of it in it’s hangar, what does it cost ?
Few more photos by Yurist.:)

Aparently that pic shows the plane on a pole ( or maybe a mobile structure ) for RCS testing. 🙂
Just found on TJ’s blog 🙂

Wow , look at that. 712 seems to have a dielectric tip on the tail boom. Great find Paralay, many thanks.
Ah, my mistake, i just had in the back of my head redaing somewhere about another F-117 being w/o during or after Kosovo war . Still, is it correct that previously an F-117 was rumoured/claimed damaged by birdstrike during that time ? Thanks.
So much for the ” oh it was just a birdstrike! ” Bloody dangerous bird those S-125s, eh ?:D .So would this second F-117 be the one that was w/o because of ” birdstrike “?
Well slightly off topic but who knows , maby we’ll gt the yanks to admit how many aircraft they lost in GW air-to air too, sometime .:diablo:
The old Su-37 on display had one, but it never made any deals so.. no rear radar.
Oh, did it ? Are there any photos of the instalation or at least the dielectric radome by any chance ? Thanks.:)
Thanks Deino.:)
Regarding that ventral bay, i just remembered these , i think they are most likely bang on …

The Raptor one seems to be fairly similar aswell (articulated)
I’m not sure about the side bay doors being plain straight , i’m sure there are couple of pics around showing those bays open, and they are serrated ( unless my memory mistakens me ).
Regarding those ventral bay doors, it seems there are two big ones on sides articulated right on the edge, while the middle one is double …right ?
Youtube: Building Boeing’s next fighter
Boeing’s NGAD proposal!
Very interesting watch …would like to see more of that second concept ( only briefly shown ) in manned and UCAV configuration ( one image of it is well known anyway, i think).:)
Wonder what kind of performance those concepts are suposed to achieve, what kind of engines they will put in, weapons, avionics etc etc.
Several more Su-35S-1 angles at KNAAPO website ( in addition to the pics we already know from Take-off.ru).:)

No MiG-35s? No upgrades for the legacy Mig-29s (rumoured to a so called “SM2” standarad )?:(
Maybe Su-30M2?
