Now, i don’t want to be knitpicking or anything , all the respect for India’s efforts to develop this plane , but aren’t the proportions of AMCA a bit eyebrow raising? It looks either too long, or the wings and stabilators are too small! Unless they’ve chosen supercruise over maneuverability. Again , just my eyeball observation , nothing more.
🙂

Check this out, AMCA and PMI (FGFA) first model pics:
Speaking of Pantsir-S1 , what is the status of UAE order? I was trying to find some reliable info on the net, but it’s fairly confusing. So did the contract went forward, how many have been delivered so far , and any pics of them in service? ( i’ve seen pics of the UAE version on the MAN-i think?- chassis, but it’s unclear if it’s the trials prototype or regular in-service vehicles). Thank you.
The target disintegrated the night of the Israeli vote tallies. No mission there now. You don’t hear much about that event in the news.
Sorry? What do you meen ?
How about…The J-31 isn’t the first private venture military jet in history.
Well, the J-31 exists in hardware form , it flies NOW , isn’t it ? Doesn’t matter if PLAAF or PLANAF buys it or not, as long as it will find customers. But anyway, i’ll bet you this WILL be part of PLAAF and/or PLANAF, you’ll see. 🙂
Dude, it will be wise to drop this trolling of yours, it’s pathetic really. What you do is exactly the same as jackjack or whatever he’s called now, only pointed at another country. Please bring us KFX info if you wish, it’s an interesting project to follow, but otherwise please refrain from this embarassing diatribe of yours, we’re all adults here and should behave as such. Thanks.
That what i was about to ask (again) too. Surely mr. Tarmak can give us a glimpse, like with the AMCA model. 🙂
It would be cool looking if they made the wings look not absolutely retarded, made the fuselage and cockpit out of actually realistic looking metals or alloys, and made the whole thing sized like something that can carry weaponry.
Indeed. The previous Shafaq mock-up was much better in this respect. And going a bit more in the realm of what-if , yes this thing looks quite cool, but to actually have a chance of looking like a proper , usable aircraft that can be transformed into a prototype, they need to drop the … wingtip drop, put the intakes on the sides, nice square ones F-22-ish, nothing fancy, curved fuselage lines and blending the wing into the fuselage properly , all moving canard , and by the looks of the fuselage , this thing appear to be more suited for being twin-engined, but if going for single engine , rework the engine nozzle area. Pity i can’t draw , would love to have some fun with this concept.:)
I was mildly excited by this new iranian fighter unveiling thing, i was thinking that perhaps Shafaq went forward , or at least they went forward with that F-5 derivative with RD-33 engines, new wing etc.
But this turns to be a flop. The hell is that ?! That mock-up is in the same class as F-19 and MiG-37, would actually look good as a model, but notwithstanding the fact that obviously this “unveiling” is just for internal consumption , and they get really pathetic with that stupid model they show flying, it can’t even work as an aircraft, those wings and especially intakes does not make any sense. The thing looks good, but it’s more of a video game aircraft, rather than having any anchoring in reality.
Pithy, i actually wanted them to shut the mouths of of their detractors. Unfortunately, they ( the authorities and those stupid idiotic ayatollahs) have embarrassed themselves even more. They need to get rid of the ayatollahs asap.
🙁
AMCA looks quite good actually , with the reservation that the back end look a bit out of proportion ,”thin”, perhaps it needs bigger stabilators and/or a bit more compactness… mind you, i’m just eyeballing here, so that’s strictly my opinion.
Me too i wonder about the engine, perhaps it will be the 9 ton M-88 derivative?
Your concern for me is touching, mack. You should work on your ridicule, though, it’s not very subtle, a little crass. Really unbecoming.
Don’t worry, I can hold my own in discussions about the Arab-Israeli conflict. I simply did not want to pollute this thread with endless and pointless discussions about a subject that is of little relevance to yesterday’s strikes. If you’re satisfied with an explanation in which Israel is somehow uniquely nefarious, that is it not a country like countless others but rather a uniquely criminal entity, I don’t see this discussion coming to anything.Come on, Bluewings, try harder. Hezbullah is not a Palestinian organization, it’s a Shiite Lebanese faction.
On the contrary, it has EVERYTHING to do with today’s attack. Oh and i’m affraid there’s nothing for you to hold your own to, if you would actually try to justify your country’s actions in the last decades. And again, like other compatriots of yours, you try to insinuate that the well argumented, unanimous criticism of your country’s actions and policies, coming from pretty much every corner of the civilized world, has only to do with the “fact” that according to your culture (which “fact” is indoctrinated into your every citizen from the day they’re born, disturbingly), everybody hates you because you’re… jewish, rather that having to do with your country’s obvious actions in the last decades, actions visible to every educated enough person. I wonder how many of your fellow countrymen have the strength of character to look in the mirror and say “you know, maybe we’re doing something wrong here after all?”. Mind you , last i know , these peoples, israelis which indeed have strength of character are shunned and bullied in your country, it is not “politically correct” in your country to boycott your settlements, for example.
But i guess, it’s much easier to bury one’s head in the sand and blame others, everyone else but themselves for your own failures and mistakes.
Anyway, enough from me, i guess you’re already categorizing peoples who say things i do as “anti-semites”, evil anti-jews who want to demonize, delegitimize Israel or whatever, which obviously is nothing further from the truth, but i doubt you can see and understand that from your unfortunately very narrow ( mostly religious based-which probably it’s not your fault , as it’s been indoctrinated in your mind since you were a little kid, as i mentioned above) view of the world around. Pity.
Honestly, I preferred Bluewings’s voltairian sentiments. Perhaps you should ask the moderators to have me banned. Just out of curiosity, are there others that have no right no open their mouths, other than Israelis?
Irrelevant, as we’re talking about Israel and Syria here. I see though you have carefully avoided the colonist/occupation issue, i thought at least you’ll try to “convince” me/us that we’re wrong and what Israel does there is perfectly ok, it’s in the bible, there was no one there when they invaded or other stuff like that…
Anyway , this looks “good”. I think we were all laughing at that guy who came last year i think going on about financial astrology or something ridiculous like that, who was predicting ( or some of the financial astrologists) a world war -or at least another big war- in the 2013-2015 time frame. I ain’t feel like laughing now.
