First, it was introduced by Jane’s

Hmmm… Due to Island questions & problems? Maybe???

That is an amazing feat for a legacy design combat jet. I am sure it has some RCS reduction methods in it’s design, but I seriously doubt the credibility of the above event. They would look aweful silly if they attempted something like that and it got shot down. I doubt they are that dumb to make a high risk no gain decision like that.Well… I wouldn’t concern myself about it being downed…
What I am more concern about the “INCENTIVES” which may have
been in the offering by both Taiwan and the west for a live sample or two of
this bird, just like the MiG-25 when it defected to Japan years ago.Heck, a few millions dollars USD a piece
and a carefree lifestyle in the beaches of Waikiki is a tempting
proposition for even the most patriotic of pilot. However, I wouldn’t rule it out either
because A/C’s have been known to have intruded into both sides
undetected in the past by both parties.

Why buy a tech whose equivalent or better has already been developed in house? It’s like China going out and buying the F-16 after the J-10 was already designed. How much sense would that make?
And if India buys the tech, wouldn’t India manufacture it? Then where does the issue of Chinese manufacturing efficiency come in?
If the americans are open to the proposition, I bet China
wouldn’t mind at all, J-10 or no J-10. It’s called international trade, or it’s sometimes
also known as “you scratch my back and I scratch yours”!!!

lame one at that (unrelated product). And, my
experiences only of course:About five years ago, because I was sold by the logic of brand name; and because I needed a printer with sophistication for the work I do; I invested in what I thought was quality — a Brother HL 730 DX laser printer @ Cdn $450.00.
About 3 months later, ink smudges started to appear in the printouts. Toners were changed as recommended. Then, drums were changed because the repair shop thinks that that’s where the problem lie. However, the problem persists.
A year after the extended warranty had expired, I picked up the courage and I wrote Brother Canada Ltd. I was furious. I complained about their product. After a brief review of my complaint, Brother Canada phone and informed me that they’ve decided to offer me a brand new printer free of charge (Shipping on me of course).
The new printer worked fine for the first six months. But soon after, the problem started again. I got tired of Brother products thereafter and wrote the printer off. I then went and picked up a top of the line color inkjet by Hewlett Packard, also at the Cdn $400 range.
The Hewlett Packard was Ok for the first year. Soon thereafter, it started to go haywire on me also. I have no extended coverage on this one and didn’t want to pay for potential repair costs which may run in the hundreds of dollars. I took a lost instead.
“Finally, out of desperation and restricted by affordability limitations, last winter I went and picked up a bouble jet by “Lexmark” (Chinese) instead at the cost of only Cdn $60.00. The machine worked like a charm ever since and continuing to deliver as promised.”
What’s the relevance here???
Look at it this way: Quality is not neccessary determined by
the value ($ wise) of the item!!!!

A more plausible method of developing bridges b/w India and China is by increasing trade rapidly where both countries become important trade partner of the other. Trade is where it’s at.But India and China will remain strategic competitors. Both countries have skeleton crews manning the mutual border as a show of confidence in their relationship. But the underlying strategic (economic, political, and military) strains will be there. Just not as open as it is b/w India and Pak or China and Taiwan.
Why must it only involve India & China???? Why shouldn’t it apply to all of Asia proper????

Yeah, lets build bridges, dams and everything between India and China, but my question is would PAF let IAF operate its most advanced plane what with 50% of the development cost being borne by Pak? I dont think IAF or GoI would mind few FC-1’s donated by China as a good will gesture. That bridge should and was meant for all of Asia’s benefit.

I think thats good idea. IAF should buy JF-17’s from china and can get a good look at it. That would be a good boost to relations. But can China show the finger to Pakistan by selling what would be the most advanced machine in its inventory to its adversary?
First of all: Why does
or “WHY MUST” these parties have
to be adversaries???Besides, don’t you think that it’s high time Aisans need
to start building those bridges which would bring them closer to each other
rather allowing Asia to dift further and further apart???I think tech transfers such as fighter jets and the likes would be
ideal vehicles for these countries to built mutual trust amongst themselves.
It would also help these Asian countries achieve the objectives which they are entitled
(technological progress and advancement) at a much much faster pace than if
they are suspicious of each other thus doing things behind closed doors. My position only of course.
Others can continue to bicker with each other all they
want and if they so pleases.

Where the heck’s whopper Junior, I wonder???
Damn, I was expecting for him to come zippin’
across that massive mountain range at warp speed with his pride and joy
and to give those darn j-8’s a run for their money. The putting his money where his mouth is that is!!!

Once again:
If your brain is as big as your mouth is, make it your challenge, Burger…
Dispatch a couple of your “top of the line items” and try out the J-8s first hand instead of burying yourself in your “all talk and no action self-denial and self-pity rhetorics” that you are so accustomed??? Substance is what counts, Burger — NOT SELF PITY. So, show us some of your stuffs, or substance (hardwares), will ya??? Anyway, as good old GW says:
“Bring it on, Buddy, and give me your best shot!!!”
Re: Damn… they are at it again… fiddling with 50s and 60s era stuffs again!!!
