If memory serves, AFM carried a story recently that was saying that the -J fleet is being very heavily tasked, especially with the -K models being modified at the moment. I would love to see them increasing the C-17 fleet by another three, beyond the planned fleet of five. As for C-130s, I hope they order a follow on batch of 25 C-130Js, as quickly as possible. In terms of special ops support, the C-27J seems to be getting popular, and would have benefits of commonality with C-130J systems.

The K crews dont like the J for some reason when it comes to specail ops. Something to do with the cockpit layout and low level performance.

Problem with the C-17 is there damn expensive we leased the four we have the moment but have now bought them.

So lets think another 3 C-17s shall cost us another less than a decade old RN ship been mothballed!!

Must have been something major for them to destroy it. A J model C130 is the work horse of the RAF in theatre transport fleet.

    Not another one!

Personally I think the MOD should seriously consider surplus airframes from AMARC and get Marshalls to refit them to K standard.

That wont work in my opinion. The K is underpowered for todays RAF needs, the J is much more capable.
Some of our K models date right back to the 60s and have been in constant use since then. Im not saying the K isn’t a good aircraft its still allot more rugged than the J, The J has a habit of breaking down and grounding the A/C wheres as the K keepings going.

Right mate. First stop is http://www.cabincrew.com great website with lots of helpfull info on.

Doing a cabin crew course can help buts its just as good to just go to an interview and try it.

For example i attended an interview with Emerites in newcastle on satureday didn’t get the job due to my age not 21. Out of 150 of us who were there 3 jobs were given. One of the girls who got it said that it was her first interview and she was just after something new.

Ive been to an interview with JET2 aswell which was my first interview now i didn’t get it i found the it a very good expericence.

Right gonna throw you in at the deep end here. Tomorrow there is an assesment day for Thomsonfly at the holiday Inn at seaton burn why not get your mate to go. Good first expericene to get them into it.
