The Eden project is an utter waste of time in my humble opinion. It’d make a great landfill area. I just don’t get it…

Plan is to fly the crate out of where it’s parked… (So Cal)

    Sounds good! What’s the plan?

I don’t understand all the hoo haa above. I know that if You drop a cricket wicket from a tall building and it reaches avoid speed on the way down, I don’t want my head or my car roof to be the first thing it hits. I think there’d be a decent dent!

Oh, OK, thank you Moggy. Erm, do you know who it was? I’d like to upload some images as well if I can. From iPhone to the thread.

The images can be seen by simply googling LF363 Oil Leak and looking at the FaceBook page. That’s for non facebookers like me, as the above links don’t work unless you’re a FBer.

For those without the social connectivity, would someone be kind enough to post the images of LF363 from FB please?

One from the front and one from the back, bonus points if you can figure out where these were taken.

I was chatting with Bill Ramsey at length on the Friday, he’s still a very funny chap! We were talking about its future, but I don’t recall details as I had succumbed to the powers of ale at that point. I do remember one thing we both came to though. It was along the lines of who cares what happens to it when it lands for the last time, it’s just a dead aeroplane. It ceases to be an aircraft.

Back to topic though, Saturday’s display was brilliant.

Can anyone say what the latest is on the Hawker Tempest please?

Whether it’s called a hop or whatever, the Victor flew under it’s own power. The pressure over the wing was less than the pressure under the wing and Bernoulli’s theory was exercised! Aviation was committed. It flew. That was the last flight. Intentional or not. Paperwork or not. It flew due to thrust and and lift overcoming drag and weight. Then it landed. A HP/BAe Victor has not flown since.

The Bruntingthorpe one definitely flew, so that’s the last flight.
