One for the lass to get me for next Christmas, I think! The range is growing all the time- one’s due for the Swordfish as well I see.
With kind permission of ‘The Mighty Jingles’, I’ve re-packaged the Barracuda segment of his recent video on our own channel-
Excellent coverage of The Barracuda Project from 08:20 here-
:eagerness:
I’ll have to warn Bill not to even go near the ‘what colour is interior green?’ topic!
…and don’t forget our Barracuda Project!
I know that some ‘erks’ were keen to get on camera and some weren’t- my granddad was there, and definitely wasn’t!
New Barra diary is up…
Yes, a very good publication, though I’m still undecided about continuing my membership next year; I’m not sure I can justify the cost of both the LLA and the BBMF Club.
Another little diary update-

Note also, there is a ‘Just Giving’ donation link on the site which links to the Fleet Air Arm Museum’s Barra’ fund. If you could see your way to sparing us a few quid, it’d be very much appreciated and put to what I hope you can all see would be very good use indeed. Thanks!
If you weren’t so far away, you could walk through the door of The Barracuda Project today and be given something to do!
Any plans to remove the Lincoln rudders & fit Lanc 1’s?
Amazing that this one keeps coming up…PA474 DOES have Lancaster rudders! Some batches of the later machines were built with the increased area rudders, as per the Lincoln, so ‘474’s rudders are her stock, as-built items.
Although I understand the reasons, I’ve never liked it flying about with the two top hatches open- it just doesn’t look right with the two big holes in the top.
I know that there are a set of exhaust shrouds made now- which look amazing- but they are still left off due to maintenance reasons. Any more moves made on making an H2S blister for her?
Marvellous!
Thanks for the mention, jeepman!
We’ve always had light at the end of the tunnel- but have never been shy in admitting that it’s a loooonnng tunnel, too! She’ll be done when she’s done and she’ll be right, and will then hopefully outlive all us by some considerable margin…
Our August diary is now online-

Some serious tin bashing in this one!
Note also we have a ‘subscribe’ option so you can get an email notification whenever the site is updated or something else of interest is going on. :eagerness:
