Flanker does not need upgrade as it use same radar, weopons and engine for export.

lol, you are unaware. country like malaysia and india not happy with flankar radar or engine, so when russia sells it to them, they have to upgrade it. russian flanekr dont use the same.

what are Mitsubishi F-2 & F-16E ?. they are the upgraded versions of standard F-16s. US has diffferent kind of customers those who can afford (large soverign wealth funds) and those cannot. Thats why you see all F-16s to (Turkey, Greek, Israel, Egypt, Poland) are more less standarized.
Malaysian clearly estimated that they can customize and buy the heaviest & expensive version of Flanker. and how RMAF is going to customize F-18E if there is Israeli part in it. as there was no reason to change MKI to MKM.
chinese aviation is just one flight aviation for show. no follow up.

you make no sense, why talking about f16? it is not flanker. you have no point. f16 already works. flanker need upgrade for export partner to use.
china have many planes, they also work.

    Why ???

That’s easy. The reason being that it’s not a discussion on the same topics that have dominated this forum for several years now and thus made it quite boring for my tastes (J-20, JF-17, etc.)

The H-6 interests me far more than those “sexier” types.

you are like the gothic kid in class. rebel on everything and not conform to make themself feel unique.

    lol JSR

no one want your old mig29! every one even malaysian trying to retire it or sell it.
flanker is good but have to be upgraded so many time to make it useful. china have to do it, india have to do it, malaysia too. at least the american plane work when you buy it. that is why the malaysian love it so much.

to replace mig29, if malaysia using flanker os a bomber then it need a good fighter. i think j10b with aesa can do that for them. also one engine so should be cheaper than super hornet to fly!
or long run malaysia can weight for j31. if singapore get f35 then malaysia need something of same generation.
also most of top pilot in malaysia is chinese anyway, so make sense chinese pilot fly chinese plane.

ski jump is not really good design, just a stop gap solution because the country could not afford or have technology to build catapult.
it limit the airplane too much.
PLAN is only using ukraine ship as stop gap and acknowledge it as so before making full chinese carrier with catapult.
    india should do same.

wow that video confirm that there is no special blocker in engine or anything like that. it is normal turbofan, you can see in the diagram and also the engine opening part

All this talk about Japan vs. China says the US can’t stomach a war with China themselves even with allies backing them. Meaning Japan would never bother regardless how superior their navy is over China’s. The fact is the US and Japan have more to lose, literally and figuratively. During the US’s Iraq and Afghanistan involvement, “experts” said China was going to invade Taiwan while the US was pre-occupied. Did that ever happen? And remember Iraq and Afghanistan were going to be a cinch for the US too? Someday some wikileaks type of info is going to come out that Obama engineered these tensions in the Far East so he can make his pivot towards Asia more acceptable in the region. Obama thought a gangbang was going to make China yield under pressure and his ignorance on world affairs just made it worse. That’s why the prime minister of Singapore recently pleaded for the US not to waver from the “pivot.” Why would he waiver if this was forced upon by China? You only waiver because it was planned from the beginning and it’s turning out not as planned.

westerner always want asian to fight each other.
natural way and historical way was that all asian country get along under chinese umbrella. less conflict, more peace.

no it is design originally to be very flat but they had some problem so it is imperfect flat

big difference than pakfa where it is intentionally design to not have flat underside

how come the island is so far away from the edge?
if they move it out, they can have more room for planes.

Are there Just Half or Full stealth fighter or are there also 1/3 , 1/4 , 1/5 etc ….

yes some have more stealth feature than other.

half stealth mean it still have strong feature of last generation of airplane

    http://www1.picturepush.com/photo/a/8339234/img/Anonymous/mil-avia-if-x-jet-defence.pk-shinshin-pak-fa.jpg
kfx have angle side like stealth fighter but it have no bay. it carry everything on the outside. it also use last generation style engine. so it is half stealth

    http://media.moddb.com/images/groups/1/3/2044/pakfzbottomview.jpg
pakfa has bay and angle side but only on the front. the back half of the airplane is from last generation, especially engine. bottom of pakfa is very rounded not flat.
all other stealth airplane have nearly flat bottom
