I met Steve only once at Old Warden a year or so back, from that brief meeting a lasting impression was made. A real genuine nice guy, whoose enthusiasm for life knew no bounds.

An example to us all, RIP Steve.

My condolences to Steve’s family & friends.

    Thanks Glenn,

I hope the weather at Weald was a little kinder than it was here.

I don’t think the Hurricane’s pilot will think you got his best side though 😀

Just out of curiosity, what music did they play for the Geese?

    Moggy

Selections from Bizet’s Carmen, starting with the ‘Toreador’s song’.

I guess the initial development plans were rather ambitious. Still well worth a visit though.

    JDK,

The Norwegian Aviation Museum at Bodoe has a Perseus XII.

And a photo of the ultra rare FAA museum Skua, with Perseus attached to its mount.

If it is indeed their new hangar they’d better alter the phase one development text on the website.

Believe it or not DB it is, just a quick tarmac base with a very light weight structure with corrugated sheet covering. When I say temporary it may be there for a few years until all the funds have been raised to build the new hangar.

Colin thanks for the input, here’s a shot of the G-AZSC as part of the radial pair. Was it the late Norman Lees who used to partner Gary Numan?
