    No Problem Peter,
Got to sort out the auto video now, not quite as simple a task! I will produce videos for all the major systems and engine systems, if anyone has a DB605 or DB601 they would mind me filming for illustration purposes, let me know 😉
    cheers

I’m not sure as to why the clock style display was chosen, it probably explains it in one of my references so I’ll have a wade through.
My only guess is that because the system is universal; when setting the system up in an aircraft you alter the end points for the EVG depending on the aircraft, for example the 109G’s are from about 1230 to 0450-0430, however in an E with 601A it’s 1230 to 0250-0230, with a clock with no face markings you can display both these sets of information on the same instrument, I don’t think a linear display this information as clearly. The other thing is that the pitch required to maintain a given engine RPM depends upon the aircrafts speed (true airspeed-TAS) and so the pitch needed at 200kph to maintain 2600rpm (for example) would not be the same as that required at 400kph, I think the unmarked clock face reflects the dynamic nature of the relationship between required prop pitch and TAS without being confusing.
As some sort of compact display instrument was required that had to be universal non confusing and unambiguous the clock style seemed a good choice. My guesses!

Not C4K-162. The Gransden aeroplane was not a Buchon, it was an ex Russian G that the owner had hoped to convert into a K4.

Incorrect, it was a Buchon as stated.

Bloody hell thats a well produced video, wish all aviation videos were that good!

A happy new year to you all! As Blue as already told you we were back as a team mob handed for the first weekend of the year. Blue and Steve finished off the door I started last year and myself and Rich started on the starboard one. I had forgotten the enjoyment of stripping paint with a sub zero wind chill! We will be back on the job this weekend. But the reason I’m posting is to give you one of the reasons we do it. With a video from last years anniversary run.

I believe the plan is to keep her live (as they did with the Vanguard for many years) and taxi her if possible.
I should contact the volunteer coordinator at the museum. I know there is a small team that looks after the
    one at the museum.

Does anyone know if the aircraft is to be kept live? I’d be interested in volunteering if it is.
I thought it was going to have its engines removed?

Many thanks for that! If anyone has a manual with part numbers in for the roller blind indicator and its associated MRG I would love to see it,
    thanks again

It appears now that I may be actually looking for a master reference gyro rather than the inertial platform. If anyone has any info on this it wpuld be great!
    Thanks
