Many thanks – yes something to get into indeed – That museum has a mostly restored USAAC B25 from the Tanami Desert there as well so they would be a logical home for the stuff – Already have aroused a lot of interest here .

    Thanks

Hi Dave she is indeed very nice and very well cared for and a bit different from the ever present Rapides – not that I don’t like them too but I have seen 10 of them this year and only one Dragon.

PS yes we can go and look at it

    Hi Guys

Well think about it – they bent in the first place – thats why you need to straighten them so it should be possible to straighten them out . I have seen a lot of crashed blades but seldom seen snapped ones.

Not sure there is anything – except the Flugwerke Fw190 flying in europe at the moment they could have used and i think the 190′ is still under test so it probably couldn’t take part anyway.

Sally B was only grounded for a little while to prove a point and some money was made available to help her keep going – I imagine the fee from the film work will assist further.

More of James and Johns Excellent Adventure!!!

    Hi

JDK and I continued our recent aircraft adventures with a visit to Beautiful Caboolture airstrip north of “Bris Vegas” (Brisbane) where I live – A real little treasure cave it is with some great Warbirds and classic aircraft

The link to Webshots is here and it is the last Album in the list – There is a very nice CAC P51 , Some flying Wirraways a Winjeel and a beautiful DH Dragon. Yes they nearly all fly except the MiG 17 and the Demon (Airworthy slow motion restoration)

Calm down and take some more of the yellow pills – A Walrus is indeed a fine aircraft but you need to keep life in perspective – it isn’t a Beaufighter after all OOOOOOOHHHH AHHHHHGGGG

    Hi All

You know the worlds a funny place – I wouldn’t count on the Ventura not flying again

As we chatted a few weeks back – where should we have the downunder air spectacular 2010 – common agreement seemed to be Temora or somewher in Western NSW

I wonder if the Loadstar has gone too far now – I got to see her fly a couple of times and she was great to see in the air – got rid of the ugly duckling look of Lockheeds on the ground.

It is my understanding that the Qld Messanger you refer to went to NZ a while back and was being subjected to a rebuild !!! Buggered if I know – I thought it was the one Dave and I saw and the one in his Pic – Who knows – I will try to pull up the record and see where it went.

    Hi James

When you say orange are they just tinged or opaque orange ? – we have a nice archivast here with a $200K machine for fixing such things – anything you want salvaged ?

    Hi

    Some more thoughts

There are many hundreds of Aviation related movies
There are probably 5000 hours of aviation Documentaries
There are vast quantities of archival material
There are many hundreds of manufactures promotional films
There are thousands of veterans able to be videoed / interviewed as well as Aviation identities and Industry leaders
There is a wealth of aviation news happening every day
There is so much happening in hundreds of Warbird recovery and restorations every day
    AND SO ON

Well this all sounds like it could be drawn together into a pretty well balanced Aviation Channel to me – It doesn’t have to be 24/7 – but you could run it 3 times a day on a shift basis

One or two feature films a day,
    Current affairs show
    News
    Industry spot
    Subscriber’s armature video spots
    Documentaries
    Instructional films
    AND SO ON

Looks a bit like a Recipe to me – lets cook it!!!

    Kindest regards
    John P

    Hi Oscar

Do you remember which A26 you were going after at the time you brought the B25 over?
