    Hi

I don’t mean this unkindly, but given the time to sort this bugger , they could have placed a DB up front and got it flying in even nicer form.

    Hi

There is also a nice project in NZ to return a late model Anson to the air and a static early model one – both excellent rebuilds

Turbo NZ —- Don’t forget the Gannets – contras with attitude (two engines joined at the hip!!)

James, well the Firebrand might have been crap but it and the Wyvern looked the part if nothing else – I think Patterson should be made to rebuild the FAAM bits into one and fly it at Reno – sorry do I get banned for mentioning him? Sorry …really very sorry ………won’t happen again

    No Disrespect intended here but
    1) How old are the aircraft

    2) How many left in service

    3) What other units operate it

    4) Is a replacement type in the wind for the team

    Just interested

    hi

I think the plan b option of using the Allison makes more sense as you don’t want to be flying and unknown aircraft with an unknown engine and then fit the engine later when the airframe is sorted out.

    Just my thoughts

We hooked the data engine up to a Thargouilan mind transference device and had the resulting data printed backwards on 50,000 milk cartons and a 12 year old kid broke the code and won an X Box.

    The usual way

    Hi Oscar

Yes I agree with you up to a certain point but I am sure that the program and airfield crowd layout could be better addressed as well as the flightline walk arounds. I shudder to sugest this but also perhaps a chat with CASA about making the displays a little more exciting but still safe ?

You would know what the chances are better than I but I would have thought it was worth a go. Temora seems to be able to display the aircraft in a more satisfactory way so it may just be that it needs more thought and discussion ?

    Hi all

I think the penny has just dropped – The F111 force is to be retired in 2010 – it’s based in Queensland – There is suddenly an influx of Bombers to Queensland to relatively unknown owners. Come on Oscar you don’t fool anybody – you are obviously forming a clandestine attack bomber squadron to replace the Ardvarks when they “go west ” . The 5 TBMs and the A26 can even drop Torpedoes – Force multiplyer there, the F111s didn’t have that capability did they hey !!

Damn smart and very fiendish Mr Duck!!

Couldn’t agree more – All very sensible stuff and all worthwhile.

I think we can actually learn a lot from the Poms here. Duxford airshows are great and some aspects well worth pinching and of course there are no better places to go than the Shuttleworth collection – just fantastic. Both of these venues feature aspects you speak of.

I attend Caboolture airshow up here every couple of years and whilst they do it well from a crowd management point of view , the airshow performances are distant and the movement around the site is difficult. There is also a lack of coherance to the program all of which detracts from the spectator experiance. I don’t mean to put them down but we can all learn from other places.
