Hi Dave
I asked when I took the picture and it was said that they had a wing.
I took photos of this on the fire dump in PNG all those years ago (I think it had belonged to TAA or some other airline) and there was a wing there then – perhaps it came back with the wing or perhaps it is another. I did not see the wing they just said they had one. The workmanship on the fuselage is very good so I hope it does get finished as I hope we finally have a finished one here at Point cook – although it is all there the wing needs to be completed and put on the rest of it – A real pity Dennis Dogett and the crew at Amberly didn’t get to finish it.

Hi Bruce
Sorry – thanks for the correction – I shall revert to type and NOT believe what I read in the Mags – I checked and that is what was said.

Hi
Now let me see…. whats changed in Melbourne recently …..let me see …..new arrivals ……Tweed jacket and heavy rain forcast for Melborne and surrounds !!!
“RadarArchive Nice photos there, John. A couple of small points. The a/c you describe as a Leopard Moth is in fact a Puss Moth. The Cygnet was made by GAL (General Aircraft Ltd) not GAC. “
Sorry
I do know the difference but just plain stuffed up.
Will Correct

Hi DHFAN
I have read that the Delamination ultra sounds were done and Delamination has occurred on both sides of the fuselage especially in the forward areas and that was part of the reason it had not progressed up till now.

Yes it was fun to do
I had a mad 1200 mile round trip and they were fantastic and towed the aircraft out for me to take the Pics – there are some more articles in the french mag etc so it was worth the drive – A very nice aircraft and there is more to the color scheme than meets the eye – it is far more accurate than many believed at first.

Hi Manonthefence
Yes I like the cold too thats why I didn’t mind the 30C day yesterday!!!
Seriously I like to go to the UK because I do enjoy the cool sometimes ….don’t tell anybody though…………..
John
Hi Yesterday was horrible in Brisbane – it was just a little cloudy – all the people on the city beach looked only a little happy and the temperature was 30C – when will these dreadful living conditions end……
Hi John
I think it will be a very long time before much happens to the Mossie – the work required is vast to get this thing fixed and the damage from the wing cut is no easy fix – most Mosquitos de laminate so that also will be an issue – in short chances are that to rebuild this thing to fly will probably require a full woodwork rebuild and that isn’t fun – it’s just plain hard work and a lot of money.
My opinion anyway

Hi
Been posted before – apparently the former IWM/Duxford example now in storage “somewhere in England” Wing was severed and will make for a long restoration no doubt.

Hi
We accept he is Australian as we accept lots of unpalatable things here like Dingoes and Germaine Greer (although it is true we exported her to Duxford and I attribute that to the recent decline in the whole tone of the place) and I can hardly wait to see how he handles a winery – Spit bucket and all!!!!

Hi All
You ain’t getting me anywhere near that damn bungy thingy – with all the metal and plastic in my legs I reckon only about 10% will come back up again!!! If Mr Patterson is looney enough so be it but frankly I would rather ride the Titanic or eat a rabid Rat!!!!
