Is this the same one that is featured on David Taylor’s website?
Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far – we have approx 240 signatures on both petitions – but we would like to reach in excess of 1000 to put some real pressure on the planners on councillors – so if those who haven’t already could please sign.
Very much appreciated.

Trumper,

Feel free to post on facebook & sends to friends etc.
We collected over 120 paper signatures on our latest open day also.
Any help very much appreciated!

American?
Graham,
It bears a resemblance to the plywood seats fitted to early Mustangs – not sure it is exactly the same but certainly similiar – could be from another US plane of that era.

Museums
These would be a good starting point: –
IWM, Duxford http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/
RAF Museum, Hendon http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/
Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeovilton http://www.fleetairarm.com/
Shuttleworth Collection, Bigglewade http://www.shuttleworth.org/shuttleworth-collection/shuttleworth-collection.asp
Plenty of smaller museums too.

Bottisham Airfield Museum

2. No.
3. Donations only except for open days where we charge £3.
4. see above
5. Yes – BAM T-shirts, limited edition prints, books & magasines

7. For general museum opening not open longer enough to tell. Numbers seem down a bit on the open days which we have been running longer.
Would be interesting to get a summary of the collated answers!

Great to meet everyone (putting faces to names) & thanks for all your kind words of support.
The day went well with around 200 visitors (yes HT’s Citroen in the background.
We advertised it on Radio Cambs, Cambridge Evening news, all the local magazines, gumtree, 1940’s websites, re-enactors forums, facebook, MVT websites & a large number of posters.
We have had larger attendances in the past but I understand there were other clashing events – any suggestions for other mediums of advertising much appreciated.
Looking into online petition – hope to have something live in the next week or so.
Any constructive criticism would be much appreciated as we hope to improve our offering.
Cheers from a knackered
Jason
We will certainly try to work with the developers but early signs not promising.
Signs will be around the village later today.
In terms of making people aware of the museum any suggestions welcome – we have very little budget for marketing I’m afraid.

Rad,
Could be a good idea – hadn’t occured to me.
Will make some enquiries.

Update
Weather looks ok for Sunday.
We are extremely grateful to Gary Dean who will be in attendance with his beautiful P-51 procedures trainer.

This will be alongside our P-51 cockpit project (We have just trial fitted our windshield)
Judging by calls so far we should have a good smattering of military vehicles and re-enactors.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Cheers
