Well from next Sunday bmi will add an additional daily frequency on DUB-LHR.
BD125/126 will be a lunch time flight.
I love working with bmi but I cant stand BA I really hope this doesnt happen!
Personally I think this is a stupid idea on behalf of AF!
They should stick with using their LHR slots for CDG feed or else give it to DL for an extra LHR-ATL.
This wont last very long.
There is no doubt that certain airlines do advertise in specialists magazines!
Put this is about POSH people which is a ridicolous argument.
Does anybody know where the word ”POSH” comes from ?
When you know what it meens then you can fight!
I agree with KilCoo.
I dont think BA or FR really care where their passengers are from and anybody who reads anything into this is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
I think it must have been exclusive to bmi because BA and EI both use their own check in systems at LHR. Perhaps it was a problem with BAA equipment?
As far as I know you can! It would be pretty crappy if you cant, have you tried?
Routes in blue are routes which have not yet commenced.
Any one have any idea why BA8086/8087 was cancelled today?
BA operate LGW-DUB 4 times a day
BA8080/8081
BA8082/8083
BA8086/8087
BA8088/8089
In the summer the flights are usually very very busy with a alot of transits via LGW onto Europe and espeically places like MCO.
I think EI will struggle more on this route they have tried and failed before remember.
BA are the only airline on the route who will operate a business class product and times are no good for business passengers who want a full days business in Dublin, then again the BA times are no good for anyone who wants a full days business in London.
I travelled on this flight myself with BA about this time last year and flights were very very empty so with an extra carrier on the route there will be some big loosers and my money is on EI.
Another big blow for BA and their DUB route is the new EI route DUB-MCO direct. I think that will have quite a big effect on things.
Ive heard a rumour about BA restarting LGW-NCL! Youd be better of without them to be honest!
From looking at those tables how can you pick the busiest routes so easily?
And US are overnighting a 767 in GLA now aswell. They must be doing really well there!
Although competitive price wise you will stay away from a certain airline if you want to see your BAggage while on holiday.
BD079 is scheduled to be a A319 and BD081 s scheduled to be a A320 that according to our bmi system in work.
Who brought EIN into it lol?
EI compete very well with bmi on the DUB-LHR route and EI dont offer business class on those flight either but yet economy fares are quite low!
The bulk of EI business on this route with come from BA transfers.
