Uuoret maybe I read it wrong but you said EI-CJI with the yellow color scheme was stored somewhere. The Yellow on is CJC I think and its Hertz and is still happily smoking away flying from Dublin.
Ye the DUB-SNN-EWR service had to return to SNN yesterday with a problem. 163 peolple on it put in hotels overnight.
Can I ask why you dont think BFS would be a candidate. I reliase there is quite a large EasyJet presence there so that could hinder progress but Jet2 already have some routes apart from UK flight from BFS like BCN nad welll errr……….. thats it!!!!!
Maybe your right I reckon they just saw that BCN wasnt served by easyJet which to me was quite surprising and jumped on board. Do they fly BFS-PRG?
Thanks everybody hopfully I be able to get alot more during the summer if I get some sort of transport apart from my ma.
I dont think theres much to see on approach to 09L except some waste units or what ever they are called. If your on the Right side approaching 09L you can see departures waiting for 09R and a good view of what will become T5.
I flew on a bmi A321 a few years ago DUB-LHR and it was quite nice. I was right over the wing and that along with the magical approach that Heathrow 27L provides was amazing espeically at night. Only one thing I didnt like and that was that red carpet.
I dont think we will see another base for a while. I tihnk there is plenty of potential in MAN as long FR dont keep up their assault on them from LPL.
While this thread is still here I might as well add that this morning Aer Lingus have announced 2 new routes ine of them being Krakow. Up until yesterday morning there was no Dublin-Krakow route and now we have 2 airlines competinf on it.
The second destination is Almeria is souther Spain bringing the number of Aer Lingus routes between Ireland and Spain to 11.
Yes the 2 letter or number codes are issued. I dont think there is many examples of when there could be confusion.
Well EI seem to be filling 179 seats 4 night a week and Malev are getting about 50-70% loads now much less then they were 7 day a week and in the summer they increase to 11 weekly. All of Dublins route to Eastern Europe seem to be doin quite well and I think DUB has seen more new routes to Eastern Europe than any other destination.
Since May 1st 2004
Warsaw- LOT now 11 weekly and EI 4/5 weekly
Prauge-Smartwings went daily but pulled out for the summer saying they will be back
Riga-Air Baltic-3/4 weekly
Vilnius-Air Baltic-2/3 weekly,Lithuanaian Airlines-2/3 weekly
Adria-Ljubljana-2/3 weekly
Tallin-Estonian Airlines started 3 weekly and increased to 4
and now Sky Europe Krakow & Bratislava
So overall demand from Dublin to Eastern Europe seems to be very high but so I dont see why Budapest would be any different.
Malev also get alot of connecting traffic onto places like Belgrade and some other Easter European airport not served directly from DUB.
Ye Easyjet do the same. The 100 millionith passenger was a granny travelling to malaga with he grandson a first time flyer.
Ciampino LOL That is a nasty delay lets just hope what ever the problem is comes under ”exceptional circumstances”
I dont like all these press realeases. In one a few weeks ago it was about the first pssenger checking in for the DSA-DUB flight. Its was a 16 year old coming to Ireland to swim or somthing. Anyway Ryanair gave him champagne and choclates. Im not 100% sure about the law in the UK but if any airline or company was to give a 16 year old champagne here they would be flamed.
Well Dublin to Budapest is already served daily by Malev and Aer Lingus also operate 4 weekly flights. Interestingly enough the Malev loads have nose dived since Aer Lingus started the route in October.
That hasnt been decied yet. People are sayin Aer Lingus will have their own terminal but I cant see it happening. Rumours is that terminal 2 would be for transatlantic flights and would include a transfer centre somthing the current airport lacks.
