Lovely shots of the BBMF!
I’ll echo that.
Ken.
Outstanding!!!
I’m off to Brittany in August for my holidays, sailing into Roscoff, but on my return journey,I’m sailing from Caen, and as I’ll have about 8 hours to spare before I sail,I’ll be visiting the area,so your pics have given me a taster.
Ken.
I know some of the members on here post on other sites as well, but to give you a little more coverage, then try posting on here also.
Ken
Looks like something else will have to be planned then.
I was at the Wakefield Thornes Park charity shindig, when you graced us with your presence in PA474.
Beautiful.
Ken.
You’re probably not wrong.
I have just come back from Wakefield Thornes Park, where we were treated to the delights of 4 Merlins flying overhead.Wonderful.
I’m sure some one on here also saw it,and must have pics.
Ken.
One has to remember that this was no ordinary road going SD1.

Before Leconfield got modified in the early to mid 90’s,I did my first ever rally on it in a Rover 3500 SD1,in the days when motorsport was allowed on it.
I remember touching a shade under 140mph on the main straight.
Great fun,and a superb venue.

Crashes!!!!!!!! 😀 :diablo: 😀
Not my favourite subject at the moment,as I managed to crash my race car last weekend, causing substantial front end damage. 🙁
Ken.
Oh, and there’s American NASCAR-style car racing too!
What’s that then? 😀
Only slightly off topic,but couldn’t resist…………….
I had to laugh at my youngest daughter last week, who is 9.
On the routine visit to the parents evening,I was reading through her history book, when I came across a section they were doing on WW2,and there in amongst the drawings, was a rather good likeness of PA474,complete with the QR-M!!!!!
Certainly put to shame anything I’ve ever doodled.
What a fantastic story.
Funnily enough,my best mate was born in Sprotborough, and I shall ask him tonight if he can remember the place.
Maybe it’s a little to near to Wakefield to go and have B&B,but it would be lovely to have a look at the place, with the owners permission, and see for myself what has been done to it.
Long may it continue as a lasting memorial to one of Britain’s greatest chronicled war heroes.
Ken.
Damn.I can’t take time off at short notice, especially that short!!!!
Ken.
Found the thread.

Does anyone know what time on the 25th please?
Ken.
