    Best thing is Mike,the only time,that I can see,that all 4 makes are airborne together,is the LLA members day.

    Indeed.That will be in the forefront of my mind when I visit.

    I’m travelling Plymouth/Roscoff to stay in Brittany,but coming back Caen/Portsmouth,and should have plenty of time to view the area.So can’t wait.

    It would be nice to buy some of the old airfields that are still left,and stop them falling into the hands of developers,and such like.Much like EK,although I don’t think the brothers own it all,do they?

    And then if money were no object,and I mean,no object,then a full and complete operational airfield,I would re-create,and then persuade various parties,to part with their collections.(Including the BBMF!!!!)

    I’m just off to call my brother,the Sultan of Brunei.

    I suggest we all carry a rolled up copy of Flypast under one arm to recognise one another. We also need a password…….

    Superb pic Rob.I’m just looking at it with my wife and youngest daughter,and we are sure she,(The youngest) is directly under the starboard wing tip in the pink coat.

    i think it was something to do with the fact that there was a little bit of explosives being in the area were it normaly turns round.

    On my last visit,it was the same scenario,taxi,pyrotechnics etc,so I don’t think that was the problem.

    Has anything changed in the enclosure area to stop the engine starts and taxying?

    Same viewing area.

    While I’m not complaining about the event in general,as to see a Lanc move in the dark IS a fantastic experience,I think if I had paid all that money for a taxi ride,and knew what previous customers got,then I might feel slightly miffed.

    Sadly,I didn’t get any pics,but I’m sure someone on here did.

    As a member of LLA, I think I’d rather all their funding/attention stayed PA474/BBMF-bound, but there you go.

    Sounds good to me.

    Correct me if I’m wrong,but don’t LLA members get their chance later on this year?

    The reason I ask is because my missus got me a membership for this year,and I wouldn’t want to ask for a place,when someone else could have the opportunity,knowing that I would be there later anyhow.

    Lancaster – in the tail – to reflect on what my uncle and thousands of others like him did.

    I think I’d agree,and to make it more realistic,somewhere over Lincolnshire. 🙂

    Thats the airfield answered then!!!!

    Binbrook was also used recently as a motorsport venue,but if I remember is now closed,isn’t it?
