Nigger. Nigger, Nigger, Nigger. That’s the dog’s name. Not sodding “Digger”.

Fry would have been better off omitting the dog from the bloody story altogether than fannying around changing his name. The story would work just as well. Now it just sounds stupid.

Gibson would be spinning in his grave.

    Here here.

Sqn Ldr Duncan Mason who piloted the Hurricane, is to be the new OC at the BBMF from next year. He did a flypast that I booked last August over Blyton, and I caught up with him at LLA day at Coningsby in September. Bloody nice bloke. He cancelled the original flypast due for the Saturday in a Spit, but turned up the following day in a Hurricane!!! Top man. He later rang me when he landed at Blackpool, and after a brief conversation, I invited him for a return flypast on his way back to Coningsby later that day, to which he politely declined as it was ‘off route’ on the way back. Well at least I tried.

Nice to see Parky was in the Spit, although I’m surprised that the current OC Smithy, wasn’t involved.

Good show by the BBMF as ever.

Might have been a nice touch if William had have saluted the flypast.

Is there any Paypal facility to obtain one of these from the various kind people who have agreed to stock them?

    Many thanks.

Tough job these BBMF lads have got….still, suppose someone’s got to do it…
    😀

Which is what they are probably thinking in pic 6 sat on the bench. (Although the one on the left looks like Parky.)

Looking forward to it Yvonne. 😀

Will Duncan Mason be in attendance? I want to thank him personally for Blyton in August.

Graham, a ‘free’ ride in a Permit aircraft is perfectly acceptable and legal. The CAA do not permit operators to charge for flights in such aircraft on a profit making basis.

So Carolyn Grace may ring me yet. 😉

Did I see Parky from the BBMF in LF363 at the end with the 3 ship?

    Edit. Yes it was.

    Excellent. Many thanks.

That is indeed not too dissimilar to the pic in the shop, but in his the crew are stood under the nose art of the Lancaster.

If there are any more pics and other items of interest, including the crew names, then I would be most grateful.

Very nice pictures! Home sweet home! 🙂

I live here in Newcastle, right on the edge of Leazes park between the centre of town, or TOON! Gorgeous place, lived in Newcastle all my life & a proud Geordie, great city, great people, (We stopped the jocks from spreading into the rest of England don’t you know. GEORDIES!) :diablo: great atmospfere! My girlfriend is from Dubai & she even thinks Newcastle is better than Dubai, I argue with her a little bit about it, but she always wins…..As usual. 😀

    Well said that man.

I may now live in Yorkshire, but I’m a Gateshead lad at heart, and it’ll always be a part of me.
