A very good friend of ours who is 20 became a Ryanair member of Cabin crew half a year ago. She has quit already, she says it is terrible and they treat pilots and cabin crew like dirt.

Why would it be a bad idea to buy Flybe?? Ok, I dont know muc about airline management but I thought Flybe are currently the fastest growing UK airline, its just like when BA sold GO, that was a bad choice. Didnt they make nearly a 300 million loss? And yet, if they had kept GO for another two years they would have made huge profit (obviously other things needed to be changed!)
But I thought Flybe were doing well at the moment. Am i wrong?
What type of aircraft is that Sabena? 717 or something?? Doesnt look like an MD series to me?
Mikeconnell, if an aircraft is dirty and that makes it not airworthy then surely they should clean it. Im not prepared to go into the detail of actually how bad the aircraft was, but take my word for it, it was bad.
“The mirrors which line up the two red lines to check if the landing gear is down were completely covered in muck and he said they hadnt been cleaned for at least a month.”
If that is the case, then they should clean the mirrors!!! What would Ryanair say if a plane had to use the mirrors and then discovered that they couldnt because the aircraft hadnt been maintained properly?
I will NEVER fly with Ryanair. When I did work experience with GO Airlines, the Captain showed me the Ryanair aircraft next to our 733. The mirrors which line up the two red lines to check if the landing gear is down were completely covered in muck and he said they hadnt been cleaned for at least a month. He also showed me a lot of other (more complex) stuff which was wrong with the aircraft and told me how they overwork their pilots. I dont want to start an anti ryanair post though, just mine and the Captains opinions, thats all.
Any of you know much about the ‘CT’?
2 months, LHR to JFK with a BA Concorde.
Dont worry Wys, I wont tell! Sorry for the late reply, just arrived home from Malaga. He is looking at getting a “CT”. I think that is its full name, but im not entirely sure. He wants to try them out before he buys.
Cant the A380 fly 8000nm?
Thanks guys. I am training for my PPL, have passed air law. Was asking because my dad may buy a microlight.
Distiller, I know what you are saying, but in any aircraft, the pilot will switch hands when he changes seats. In a Boeing, even though they often use the pilot not flying to push the throttles, whichever seat you are in depends on which hand you use for what.
TTP, when you say take over the whole world, isnt that a bit harsh?!!! Dont forget everyone, Britain was fighting basically on its own for two/three years before America joined. Rule Brittania!!!
