+1 Graham, my sentiments entirely 🙂
I have a Hurricane print that has been signed by every surviving Hurricane Pilot I have come across…except Tim !
Say hello to Dave for me James
A while since we spoke last 🙂
I for one am sorry for France’s lost souls today. I am also sorry for the people of Paris who have seen their City under siege in this way again, only on a bigger scale.
I am also sorry we lost Saddam Hussein and Qaddafi, they had their collective thumb on top of most of the fighting factions and fractions, who are most likely at the heart of ISIS.
We knew similar events would happen with their removal, just the same as the short time after Tito’s death, The Balkans slid into war amongst their own factions and fractions.
Cheers Blair & Bush, thanks for the continued bloodshed.

It has always been far and away my favourite aircraft. Thanks for the reminder 🙂
Fingers crossed this will come to fruition 🙂
Speaking to two fishermen from Bradwell a month or so ago and they reported an aircraft wreck just off the furthest south eastern part of Buxey sands. They have had bits and pieces in their nets on more than one occasion.
They said it is NOT the JU88 as they know where that one is. It will be very difficult for me to contact them for a couple of months. If and when I hear from them I shall ask them to clarify where exactly this other wreck lies before you visit.
Well said TonyT
I have never really been a great jet enthusiast, I only got to see the Vulcan this time around in the last two years, I watched it at Gransden last year, Headcorn a couple of months ago and North Weald a week or so ago.
Do you know, I will actually miss it as per TonyT’s wonderful description of it!
My thanks to all who made it possible.
Is this from a similar unit I wonder?

An altogether fascinating read Ross, many thanks.
Early 1960’s AEC,
now, there was a thread on here a year or so ago that featured a large tyre of this type washed up on a beach somewhere. Turned out is was correctly identified as being from a dock, where is was used as a running fender for ships. Mounted sideways, they let ships run alongside the dock.
This is my earliest one from a wet Woodford (again) this has been seen on here before, but what the heck 🙂
And what a picture….as a recent convert to the tin triangle fan club, that is superb!
Watched her from a lane just off off North Weald airfield today, arrived in the nick of time but didnt set the ISO correctly !…… sad to see her go.

Would love to see either of the two, or if possible both, of the current airworthy Mosquitos in the UK for a season.
