    Heathen:D

:DI just cant do the Happy holiday coca-cola santa claus cheesy glitzy commercial christmas type thing. We much prefer a traditional yuletide type affair that does not seem to go on for weeks…or months. A nice dinner on the day, a token gift each and to be with the people who matter counts more.

Merlin / Meteor powered torpedo…..at 21 inches in diameter, surely not?

I know that the British Mark VIII is a ‘burner-cycle’ torpedo that has a radial engine, fuelled on diesel (?) and compressed air, but surely no torpedo was ever big enough to fit any parts of a Merlin or Meteor inside!

I think the word ‘boats’ as in MTB must surely be missing ?

Nuclear powered, it goes without saying. All the oil will have run out!

Ahh, but perhaps all of the Uranium would have run out by then;)

As for me seeing any prop driven aircraft in 40 years, I will be long gone!

    Back on topic,
For me it is all down to talent. Ms Boyle has an extremely good voice, she may not look like the average pop star. but she can certainly hold a note. Mrs Cheryl Cole on the other hand, looks the part but in my humble opinion, cant sing for toffee!

A sad inevitable loss, but as moggy said, he had a good run. A real gentleman, a fine actor and a very brave old soldier.
    Goodnight Mr Todd.

I see why you positioned your Spitfire there.

One of the best then and now shots I have ever seen.

To me it looks like a range target that has been partially stripped before being hit a few times by something of a large calibre.

    Echoed sentiments.
A fine actor indeed, and ‘Callan’ being a very good series to remember him by.
    Goodnight Mr Woodward.
