    Blimey!
Just a shame that the photo was not the original, then it would have been worth a bit perhaps. Thank you all, case closed!:)

Denis, is that the only info you have on the photograph? Any other clues ? Brian S.

Well , I am glad I didnt pay very much for this image:)

    The seller just stated that it was ‘DH 98 Mosquito HK382 RO-T 29Sqd +crew @ Hunsdon, a/c was lost 9m W of Lille 16/3/45’

Somehow I didnt think it was RO-T as I have images of that A/C already and have never seen the shield emblem on that, or any other, 29 Squadron machine.

Thank you all for the replies so far, any guesses on the shield?

Was it the B-52 that blew a tyre(s) on arrival at Duxford? Seem to remember some talk at the time.

Could well have been Ozplane, Like I thought, my inbuilt memory system suffers it’s own form of ‘The blue screen of death’ from time to time!

Certainly is a great piece of film. I was there on the day the B-29 landed at DX, and for some strange reason I have always had the impression that she blew a tyre on landing. However, watching the film I see no evidence to support that particular image imprinted on my somewhat meagre brain. A total figment of my imagination, or did it really blow a tyre?

Congrats TT, quite a catch you have there!, and with the added bargaining power of the second for a swap eh?.
The AW turret example that resides at Duxford originally came from Nazeing Essex, and was removed by the Royal Engineers.

While passing through Bordeaux on the way to spain, I had Pigs testicles in a very nice Garlic sauce.
I have also eaten some of those pickled songbirds that seem to be a delicacy in Portugal, do these count?

Guns and Roses, absolutely raw gutsy rock at its best, and the epitome of genius. Just a pity that Axel drove a wedge the size of a barn right through the band.
The new GNR? …no, not for me, GNR and the lineup from ‘Appetite’ was the high-light.

Out of the two I would pick GNR, but Bon Jovi were just as good in their own way. But then again Aerosmith to me are just as good.

Music is too personal to have favourites, And I am too big a fan of the Rolling Stones to put any other band above them…so there!
    54 and still rocking!
