I did walk through a B-17 at Kermit Weeks museum in Florida. There were films running viewed on screens through the Bomb bay and waist gun positions if I remember correctly. There may also have been a viewed scenario through the cockpit windows. But my memory lets me down on that part, but the idea is ‘do-able’
Just to say I have a 1940 dated and BMARC marked 20mm round, an early date for a British made 20mm or not ?
Good to see you back posting Tim, hope your back is better!
I was thinking Beaufighter….
Pictured a few months ago at Bruntingthorpe…..
if the weather takes a turn for the worse, and people stay away.
With pre-paid tickets people will not have that choice. Too much to lose if it does. The same applies to the organisers I know.
It almost looks like a Hurricane/Messerschmidt hybrid. Never seen or heard of this type before, so thanks for posting the image!
All I can say is good luck to them. If another iconic British made aircraft can be seen more regularly in the skies, and at whatever airshows we have left, then it is a good thing.
…and it does not matter what I think!
surprised to read that Typhoons were used on night intruder flights.
3(F) squadron certainly flew from Hunsdon in 1941 on night intruder sorties with Typhoons, they had also used their Hurricanes in the same role prior to that.

DG590 was a former civilian airframe pressed into RAF service at Broxbourne airfield in Hertfordshire, hope it stays in this country.
It is a really well done conversion, I would give my right arm, back teeth and a kidney to be able to own that!
