Hi Fabio,
The Smiths Fuel Gauge is listed for Vampire Mks 3 & 5 and Sea Vampire Mks 20 & 21 as 1352FG in AP1086, the M suffix being for Metric Calibration, the RAF Sec/Ref for 1352FG being 6A/2588 (Imperial Calibration)
Ref AP1086 Sec 6A to AL/18 and Smiths Aviation Instruments and Equipment Catalogue approx 1950
Hope that helps
Regards
Dave
Taken from AP1086 Section 6B dated 10 Oct 1960, listed for Naval Aviation Only
Hi Nicko,
I’ve sent an e-mail with some info.
Regards
Dave
Part number starting 4F is part of Dove/Devon second pilot/navigator seat as shown in extracts from Sea Devon IPC
Part starting 14FF would be Heron related.
There are some references to AP1374 of various volumes in the Shuttleworth Archive, I’ve never tried to access anything through them though so not sure how easy to access the information is.

Info taken from 1965 dated copy of AP1086 Vocab of Sections.

SNAFU for the PM system then!
If you e-mail me: mail@dsgaviation.co.uk I’ll sort out a scan of Sec 5B
I had a quick look through a copy of Sec 5UE (Aircraft Electrically Driven Pumps, Accessories and Spares, 1956 dated) but couldn’t find a reference to Plessey F-6 pump. There are references to EF6 booster pump (5UE/4658 for Mk2 and 5UE/5417 for Mk3) and FB6 inverted pump (5UE/4986) but it could be that the F-6 was obsolete by then and removed by revision?

Dave
I have a Feb 1952 copy of AP1086 Section 5B and although it doesn’t mention the Beaufighter there are some references to the Hercules engine.
Happy to send a scan if you PM an email address.
While not an exhaustive list, the following is from a 1950s Dunlop wheel/tyre application chart contained in a brochure. The only aircraft with that tyre size listed are Bristol Brigand, Freighter & Wayfarer.
As a note Anson is listed with tyre size of 9.50-12 or 9.75-12
Managed to find another Dunlop brochure which does have Javelin having nose tyre size of 29×8.00-16 so has probably narrowed it down a bit more with the photo of the landing gear/wheel above.
No info on sizes for Lightning tyres, but a Dunlop Aviation Equipment (not dated but 1950s) brochure has that size for Supermarine 535 & Swift, could also fit others.

Hello Terry,
In AP1086 Sec 6A dated Sep 1966 452FL is listed for Naval Aviation Only without type with Sec/ref of 6A/3349
6A/3731 is a Sangamo Weston oil pressure gauge 0-120 psi, but 426FL is listed under part number and equates to Sec/ref 6A/3781 again no type but for Naval Aviation Only with description of Indicator, Position, Desynn Type Aileron and Rudder fluorescent
Oddly I have 426FL listed in Smiths maintenance manual 31-09-50/2 as Oil Cooler indicator

Dave
Hi Baz,
Have found the following in a 1993 copy of FAP1086 Sec 27A
DRR17720T-1 size 18×5-7
Listed as Phantom Mk 1 2 N
Assumed the N is for Nose
