Obviously we all hope that the Vulcan will fly, but if not the airshows will always have this baby to fall back on. Not to sure how to cut a link in but if you are in Ebay see item 110118675790 . Providing it isn’t seen landing we might just about get away with it!
And somebody on the ground with a REALLY good sound system and SUBWOOFER! 😀
Keeping to the additions to CF, I believe a Proctor is on it’s way……or was it a Provost:rolleyes:
Take your pick Rob – keep watching the hangers! 😉
I’m a bit confused? The last I heard of WG307 she had crashed in South Africa?
Here is a picture of her.
How come she’s now in a garish yellow scheme??
Air Atlantique’s Chippy is in the CUAS colours so I’ll ask if anybody has anything that could help you on Saturday.
This all seem’s rather simply to me! Melvyn has covered the technical issue’s and the ONLY way the Vulcan will fly for the long term is if a sponsor or wealthy indivdual comes forward. And you wont know the answer to that until you get there.
Best of luck to them but as Melvyn says dont expect to see it at many show’s – not many could afford it.
Absolutely, it is only fair that whilst you are stuck in the classroom, there should be interesting machinery grumbling past the window!
😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
If you leave one of the Dakota flights till last we can try out our newly learned skills! 😮 😀
Excellent little movie there Will, good to see I kept my ugly mug out of it. 😀
I can see that those of us on the security course on May 19th are going to be a little distracted!! May I ask if our new arrivals made it this week?
See you next week,
Dave
I’m pretty sure that to satisfy the terms of the Lottery grant she has to fly in a realistic cold war colour scheme.
Excellent set of pictures there, something suggests to me you’ve got something a bit more impressive than a point and shoot! 😀
Very much liked the Chippy one on your link as well.
Thanks for sharing.

Dont think the Classic Flight need 4 – though more the merrier as far as I’m concerned!

Thankfully commitments are such that Classic Flight really needs to have 2 Rapides available at weekends so having 2 with one spare / on maintenance can only be a good thing. At the moment only G-AGTM is servicable which is why there was no Rapide at Old Warden this weekend.
Nice picture Eric, had the pleasure of watching her flying around the local area on Friday while working. It’s a shame she’s going she will be missed.
All the best,
Dave
Nice pictures Neal. Glad you enjoyed the ride. 🙂
Excellent stuff!
Reminds me of the photographs of the prototype being taken from Brough to wherever the first flight was, being towed by an ancient vehicle – if memory serves, a traction engine! The antithesis of the state-of-the-art jet and the antedeluvian means of transporting it was amusing to say the least. Can’t find any pics, sadly.
Unfortunately not a traction engine (although I like the thought) but a seperate HGV tractor unit and trailer with the NA39 wrapped in a protective coating. The route from Brough to Bedford was checked for clearances prior to the trip by a HGV tractor and trailer carrying a very large but effective wooden rig!
Well done to the Bucc Society for all their work with this old bird. 🙂
How about the Zero that never appeared last year? Just ‘cos its on the poster don’t mean its gonna be there….
Dean
What you mean you didn’t see it? Thought it was parked next to ‘Janie’ ? 😀
I understand the USAF special forces Hercs use the airfield for practice on occasions, I’ve seen USAF one’s there a couple of times. I know nothing about these aircraft though, just going on what I’ve been told / read. 🙂
