and I’ll be a member of the Hawker Hunter Aviation Club just as soon as I can spare the readdies! 😎
Thanks for that Nicolai. I take it that event is on the 22nd May, a little to close for me but having seen your pictures I think a trip over to Sweden to see some of these lovely jets will have to be done – maybe next year. 🙂
At one time the Woods had Spitfire TD248 in there Showroom!
Great photo’s lai, nice selection of classic jets. Is there any other similar events planned for later in the year?
It’s alright for you Daz. I often have to spend my lunch watching Spitfire’s and the like looping and playing in the skies above me, it’s a real chore I tell ya…… 😉

Through this forum I have been able to see many things that I would not have seen simply because I either wouldn’t have known they were happening or I wouldn’t have known what time and wouldn’t have been able to spend all day at a location. You also get to hear information straight from the horses mouth in many cases’s. The wealth of knowledge on this forum is astounding! 🙂
The bad points have been the period a little while ago when a certain group seemed to decided it was their forum and anybody they didn’t like wasn’t welcome, those days thankfully seem to be behind us now. From a Key Publishing point of view I haven’t brought a single copy of Flypast since I started using this forum as I no longer see a need for it, but to make up for it I am a subscriber to Todays Pilot. I also now spend alot more time at my PC and I think I will soon need glasses as a result! 😮
Long Live this forum!
And now for sale on e-bay! 🙂
Nice piccies – any Mk1 Ford Cortina’s ?? 🙂

I believe it is the insurance that stopped Sally B from doing a display. A single display. Not all displays since, I believe, she is also performing at Duxford on the same days as the cancelled Southampton ones. Since, as has already been pointed out on historic, they are claiming that they are being charged £1000 a day surely that would be the case for the whole day, not per display? – Nermal
No Nermal I think you’ll find she’s grounded until further notice. The brake down of £1000 per airshow I think is down to the extra cost being £12,000 and they planned to do 12 shows.

I can not believe they can rate a B-17 as being the same as a 737, Ok both were built by boeing both multi engined one noisier than the other mind And both can fly to berlin and back easily, Mind you B-17s did’nt land and they did a lot more damage.
I really fear we could lose Both Sally B,and Pink Lady from Europe at this rate and that to me is a insult to the crews of such Bombers who died for a free Europe, A Europe thats now full of money wasting bureaucrats who pen push all day and tie us all up in red tape, Whats this world coming to?.
Were the events of 1939-1945 just for all this we got now i think not.
Case of the bureacrats succedding were Hitler didn’t.
About the only picture I have from a fightermeet – sorry for the quality.
