Thats a difficult one what if the shop you buy your air rifle is in a public place?

Like a town centre shopping arcade.

Not to mention those who set up a family picnic on the crowd line, and get
upset if anyone steps on their tartan rug, or spoils their view.

Then there is the tent fraternity who love to put up a bloomin small tent up with guy ropes for all to fall over.!!

    LOL…….

Give me strength walk past foot under guy rope and lift up foot sharply and watch it cave in. ha ha.

Discovery channel have a program running on Bravo Novemeber the Chinook but it seems nothing much to do with the Falklands war.

Been plenty of programs about the conflict the last few months.

Found this and a very nice site plenty to offer.

    As copied from there site.:::
Deactivated weapons may be possessed without a firearm or shotgun certificate and may be displayed in the owner’s home without the need for a locked gun cabinet.

Those step ladders only take a little push and there over, then you can quote Health & Saftey to the plonker bruised and battered on the floor in front of you how unstable his platform was.!! 😀

One of the best shows i had was at Breighton a few years back a fraction of the price of the large airshows with no parking problems and queing traffic jams. (shame you have to be a member).

The price for the family day out and the fuel cost for a 200 mile round trip is putting many off, the family holiday is first the airshow costing over £100.00 + fuel for a days entertainment is too much for many.

This is were your small airfields could cash in and have open days or gala days cheap admission and some good flying displays at a fraction of the above costs.

I wouldn’t worry too much you can buy deactivated weapons openly and most second hand shops have a air rifle which is capable of killing or serious injury and there sold on without licence.

A mate has a russian AK-47 deactivated looks the part!!

Should you be trying to source the rest to go with it and it’s in working order that may cause you some problems.:D

Back in the olden days black paint with some thinners was used as back to black and painted on tyres as used in second hand tyre shops to look “new”, i think still done today.

As for uv protection try it see if it works ok.

I’m a maintenance engineer and I would have no problem accepting a lower wage to work with something I love. Of cause the wage needs to be realistic at some level (what people used to call a living wage), but I would certainly accept wages a good bit lower than standard airline pay. That said, I wouldn’t work cheap for someone who could easily afford to pay decent wages – so technically the offer is only extended to a minority of warbird operators.

In other words: in the right situation I would care little about wages, as long as I could cover the basics.

Thats all well and good if the house is paid for and the kids have left home and you want “beer” money, but in the real world a man wants good wages for the work and hours he’s going to do and the dead lines to meet.

Someone said low end of 20k well car mechanics earn that and top end “technicians” earn more.
