The condition of this p-40 is beautifull just think of all those other military vehicles scattered about left there, lets have a few panzar tanks brought back, all they will need is some fuel and a oil change and there up and running.

Any pictures of these other vehicles left in the desert?

‘Fraid not. There’s no markings to give any real clues other than those I’ve shown on the ends, which led me to believe that the 165-006 and 165-002 numbers would indicate what these are. There are numerous valves, but these would not be likely to be much help.

I have no problem with it and we see more gruesome images on tv, there were a link on this forum some time back to a body of a pilot he was shrunk from been in the ground, it was well commented on yet it still was there.

Am I a bit weird that I just turn up and enjoy whatever is on display? Mildenhall allways was the highlight of my year, and Waddington is cheap and easy to get too. (plus I know one of the organisers)

Good to sneak in to the enclosure had free sandwiches and a seat with a cover when it had a small shower, that year was a great bonus sadly didn’t get away with all of it the year after.
